I arrived the exam hall, feeling nervous as it was my first MA exam. Even though I am well prepared, still the nervousness is not leaving my side.I scanned the white sheet in the gallery to find my classroom number and began walking down the same corridor towards the assigned room.
As I was egrossed in checking the room numbers of the rooms I was walking by, I didn't realise a figure walking in my direction.
I accidentally bumped into him, causing the papers he was holding to scatter on the floor. We both bent down to collect them.
"Ahh..I am really sorry, I was in hurry." I muttered while picking up the papers.
He looked at me with understanding. He was wearing a mask and he had a cap on so I could only see his eyes.
His eyes felt so deep, I didn't realize that I was staring at him, until he took the papers from my hands, stood up and walked away.
I sighed and went ahead in the gallery but I couldn't find my class and it came the dead end. I saw a male in his forties strolling by, so I asked him for the class no.
He instructed me to walk in the same direction in which the person I bumped into went. Running late, I hurried in that direction and luckily found the room in time.
As I stood before the exam room, my eyes fell on the invigilator, he is the same person I bumped into earlier.
The moment his gaze fell on me, I lowered mine, we have never met before today but he seems so enchanting.
He neared me, I forwarded my Id card to him, he checked my roll no and let me knew my seat while I tried my best not to make him uncomfortable from my gaze.
Walking to my seat, I kept my belonging on the desk and sighed in relief.
My eyes went back toward the invigilator, this exam is nerve-wrecking, as I am already nervous and now this man in front of me, I don't know what to expect.
While I was lost in staring at him, he suddenly lifted his head from the papers and our eyes met, my heart skipped a beat and I could feel my skin turning warm under his gaze.
I quickly averted my eyes from him and started twirling a pen between my fingers to distracted myself.
The bell rang and it was time to distribute the question paper. He went to each desk, and as he was nearing to my desk, my heartbeat was increasing.
Coincidentally, just as he reached my desk to hand me the paper, my pen slipped from my hand. I bent down to take it, but his hand reached for it at the same time, and I ended up holding his hand.
I quickly left go and returned to my seat, he did the same and placed the pen on the bench before moving to the next student.
Then the answer sheets were passed and I filled my credentials. I went through the exam paper and started with the exam while the invigilator stood up to sign the answer booklet.
