*Avery's point of view*
I jerk my head awake to make it look like I am nodding along to whatever Adell is saying. Man, this girl can talk. I don't even know how it is possible for one girl to have so much to say. Every time Adell opens her mouth I want to punch myself in the face. The last thing I heard her say was complaining about how Michael had humped and dumped her. What did she expect would happen from dating a rock-star anyway? My phone buzzed saving me from this misery.
It was a text from Calum. Greaaaaat. So, maybe this text was not my saving grace.
TO : AVERY
Date tonight. Bring a swim suit you will be getting wet ;) see you at 8
FROM : CAL
I tried to hold back my vomit. He is a pig. We must be going to the beach or something along the lines of that. It must be to win me over with his beach body. If he wants to play the who's hotter game I am all for it and like everybody knows I ALWAYS win. I get up and leave in the middle of Adell's sentence. It was a rude thing for me to do but, then again it's not like I care. I heard her calling out for me saying I was a bitch as I left. Adell was the bitch. Okay, maybe I was too but, I am thinking about the big picture here. And that is breaking Calum Hood's heart before he breaks mine. I start my car and drive to the closet Target they always have the biggest verity of bikinis. When I got to the swim suit aisle my one and only goal was to find the skimpiest bikini they had. And then I found it. the bottoms were just black which I liked and the top looked like a painting. It was pinks, purples, yellows, and oranges all together making a smooth sunset with little palm trees scattered across. It was perfect. When I went to pay the cashier cheeked me out in more ways then one. He winked at me. He reminded me of Nate Archibald from Gossip Girl to bad for him I am more of a Chuck Bass kinda gal. I do like myself a bad boy. I think That might be my problem.
When I got back to the studio Adell had found a new victim to torture. I was glad I wasn't that person. I quickly got my backpack and got the hell out of there. Before Adell saw me and deiced to have another hour long talk about of how well fall colors match with her skin tone. Like I give a fuck. When I finally go home no one was here. I ran upstairs and got ready for my 'date'.
Before I knew it Calum was knocking on my door. I checked my phone. It was 7:40 he was twenty minutes early. What a twat. I flew down the stairs to great him.
"Hi." I said breathless.
"You ready? Got your swimsuit on?" His nose wrinkled out of curiosity. Cute. It was easy hating him we he's not around but, now seeing him I don't know. This was a bad Idea.
"Yes." I moved my shirt to give him a sneak peek. I felt my breath hitch as I did this.
"Let's go."
It was late when we got to the beach but, it was still packed with faces. I laid my towel down and sat on it. I watched as Calum slowly lifted up his shirt. His body was tanned and toned. SO TONED. I studied his tattoos for a moment. "Are you going to change so we can go in?" Calum asked taking me out of my day dream and back in to the real world.
"Yeah, I am." I felt embarrassed now for some reason. And before I knew it Calum picked me up over his shoulder like I was weightless and ran into the ocean. I tried to stop him by kicking his back but, it didn't work. Before I knew it we were both laughing.
"You jerk!" I said splashing him when he finally set me down. When he swam he looked like a puppy. His wet hair plastered to his forehead made him like young, and innocent.
*Calum's point of view*
When we got out of the water I could see everyone staring at us. Well not me, her. She was beautiful. I wanted to kiss her right then and there to let every boy here know she was mine. Well, almost mine.
