Touya Todoroki. The failure of the Todoroki family, the one who brought shame to the name. Sure, he had a great quirk, a good mindset and determination but he didn't have the body, he was too weak for his own quirk. But the real reason he's a shame to the family name was because he tried.

And failed.

He got dropped out of hero school since the support team didn't have a way to prevent him from burning himself and letting his flames get out of control, instead he joined the police force but same situation..He got placed in Tartarus as a guard since that place is packed with security he would have a very low chance of needing to use his quirk therefore he wouldn't get hurt. Touya was like a weak child that needed to be protected, coddled.

He hated that. He could do better, that's why he was the first to volunteer as Japan's most dangerous villain's guard, he was gonna prove them wrong, that he could handle himself and that he could make the great Tomura Shigaraki obey.

Of course, Touya used to study at a hero school so he knew the first rule about dealing with villains: never underestimate them. So he did his research, he listened to interviews with other heroes who dealt with Tomura in the past, he over analyzed every video that was available to the public, ruled out weaknesses, studied each attack and tried to think like the villain.

He grabbed the cell keys, a small handgun loaded strapped onto his belt along with a rifle in hand. He seemed all serious and stressed about having to guard the most dangerous villain but on the inside he felt all giddy about being trusted to do this job.

The cell had two guards on the outside and behind a heavily locked door stood another guard (Now Touya) with another locked door that had a small opening for trays of food, it was just big enough for an arm to slip through but not a head. There was also a polycarbonate panel to keep an eye on the prisoner.Prisoners' quirks were disabled from some weird chemical or whatever stuff they put in their food, Touya wasn't exactly sure but he knew it was made from some other psycho prisoner who was in here.

Touya unlocked the millions of locks securing the door and stepped in, he could hear the door being locked up again. Through the polycarbonate panel he saw his prisoner, the one he would spend every night with. Tomura was just sitting on his cell bed swinging his legs and whistling. He seemed relaxed. Too relaxed.

This wasn't exactly what Touya wanted, he wanted Tomura to be scared, intimidated or at least acknowledge him but this guy was just staring into the void!

"Ahem.."
Touya cleared his throat to try and get Tomura to notice him but..nothing. He did it again

"Ahem.!"

Reluctantly Tomura stopped whistling and looked at Touya

"Aren't you relaxed? For a prisoner I thought you would be forming some kind of plan to escape"

Tomura just stared at him for a few seconds before looking off somewhere else which annoyed Touya, he hated being ignored

"No respect I see."

"Does it hurt your feelings? Is your ego damaged?"

Touya scoffed, of course he wasn't hurt. No, not at all, Tomura was just a prisoner after all.

"You wish, I'm not some lowlife villain who throws tantrums when things don't go their way."
Yes, he did spend time interviewing All Might about his encounter with the villain
"I'm not some spoiled brat who acts like the golden child"

"Of course you're not, because you're not the golden child, you're a failure."
Tomura spat back as he walked up to the cell door

"...What? How did you kno-"
