Ash's Story (Part 4: Kanto and Unova)

Chapter 16

As Hilbert enters the cave, the Shadow Triad has brought him to me. Dia bows, "... My lord N, we brought the one you wanted."

"Good, you can leave now." I say as the Shadow Triad disappears. Hilbert is glaring at me and he says, "You... I have a lot of questions to ask. What have you done with my sister's Tepig? And who are those guys?"

"Ah, yes. That was the Shadow Triad, just now. Ghetsis enlisted them in Team Plasma. Apparently, they were the ones who prepared the Galvantula nest at the cave entrance."

I look around and say, "Chargestone Cave... I like this place. Formulas express electricity and its connection to Pokémon... If people did not exist, this would be an ideal place. You have been chosen, you know. Does it surprise you I said that?"

"What do you mean by that? I don't understand a thing!" Hilbert says.

"Hmph. If you don't understand what that means, it's not likely to surprise you." I sigh. "I told Ghetsis about you and your friends. After I did, he apparently used the Shadow Triad to find out about you. Cheren is pursuing the ideal of strength. Poor Hilda has faced the sad truth that not everyone can become stronger. And you are not swayed either way-more of a neutral presence, which is apparently a good thing. Team Plasma will be waiting for you ahead of time. Ghetsis wants to see what kind of Pokémon Trainer you really are."

Then I turn away and leave, Hilbert yells, "Hey! You haven't told me what you've done to my sister's Tepig!"

I say, "If you want to see her, then you'll have to come to me."

After I head to the tunnel before Mistralton City, I find Gina as the Shadow Triad by my side. I say, "I think it is time that you answer my questions, Gina."

Gina looks at me with surprise before chuckling, "You really are a sharp one, lord N, or should I say my brother Ash?"

"I want some answers, why are you working with Team Plasma? And what's the big idea?" I ask.

"I'm pretty sure that you know the deal of the Dark Phase, right?" Gina says. "Apparently all of us and those who are aura users have to go through this kind of phase. Mom asks us to come here to assist you since the power of our Dark Father is growing."

"So you're just like those Seven Sages. I have to assume the ones who are in the Dark Phase are only Dad and Alice's Dad?" I ask.

"That is the case." Gina says. "As much as I want to tell you more, you have a mission to do."

I nod as I see Hilbert approaching. He says, "I'm here, tell me where is the Tepig!"

I ignore him and say, "Many different values mix together, and the world becomes gray... That is unforgivable! I will separate Pokémon and people, and black and white will be clearly distinct! Only then will Pokémon become perfect beings! Yes, that is my dream! That is the dream I must fulfill! Hilbert, do you have a dream of your own?"

"Of course, I have a dream, I'm going to become the champion of the Unova League!" Hilbert says.

"You have a dream... That's wonderful. I'll learn just what kind of dream you have-in battle!" I say.

And appear from behind me, a Boldore, Ferroseed, Joltik, and a Klink appear to battle Hilbert. Hilbert is using his four Pokemon to battle, I say, "Where is your Braviary?"

"Braviary is now with my sister, and I can just defeat you by using these 4!" Hilbert says as they try to fight the four Pokemon by my side. These four are just those I asked to help me out, but Hilbert is obviously stronger. The four Pokemon eventually lose and Hilbert says, "How about that? N?"
