"Looks can be deceiving, but so can be words."
A new morning started at BIA and the students were already thrilled after the incident at the dormitories' hallway.
Everywhere you go, you would find students talking about the same incident adding alibis and small plots of their own.
However only one person seemed to be ecstatic that morning because everyone seemed to be talking about the incident they created. They walked through the campus of BIA in sheer amusement. Smirking internally, while maintaining a poker face on the outside. One could never make out their true intentions just by looking at their face.A familiar friends group was seen talking among themselves near the lockers. They, like the others were also talking about the same incident.
"What do you guys think about the dorm incident? " Niki, the youngest one questioned.
"Hmm I'm not sure but I don't think it was funny. Whoever did this needs serious help. Yesterday Beomgyu told me that one of the dorm building elevators had blood stains in it too. I guess both of them was done by the same person." Heeseung replied, still skeptical about the incidents taking place in the university.
"HEY! Then the incident that took place in Jay and Sunghoon hyung's class must've been the work of the same person!" Sunoo exclaimed.
"You are right. This must be done all by the same person." Jungwon replied.
"YAHH! Do you people think that we can maybe form a secret club to investigate more about this prankster?" Sunoo asked excitedly
"Sunoo.. This is not a movie, we can't do that. Besides we need to focus on our studies too." Jake retorted. Sunoo sulked in return.
In the middle of this chattery friends group, one of them seemed way too quiet and lost in his own thoughts.
Niki who noticed his quietness quickly asked.
"Sunghoon hyung, why are you so quiet today?"
Now everyone's attention was on Sunghoon who for a quick second became startled but quickly masked his expression with a neutral one.
"Hmm... Idk I'm just thinking about the new student." The boy replied.
"Jia?" Jake questioned, a little confused as to what his friend had to do with her. However he was only answered with a little nod. Before Jake could question more, Heeseung came up with another question.
"What about her, Sunghoon?" Now Heeseung was the one looking a little dubious.
"Her dorm is right across from ours. I was wondering if she had something to do with it. But nevermind, It's not my business" Sunghoon shrugged a little and the friend's group went into silence for a second when Niki spoke up once again asking about Jay's whereabouts for he seemed to not have joined them again.
"Where else do you think? His lovely father wanted to meet him somewhere outside the town. That man seriously needs to stop this." Sunoo replied while rolling his eyes.
"Poor Jay hyung, I feel bad for him sometimes." Jungwon sympathized and everyone else nodded in agreement.Jia, on the other hand, had classes after classes and seemed to have a lot to catch up on, due to joining mid term. She was either seen in one of the classes or in the library studying and reviewing her lectures. However what she was oblivious about was the little someone who seemed to have their eyes on her throughout the day. Everywhere she went those same pair of eyes followed her every move. At times she would feel someone staring at her only to look back and see absolutely no one whom she could suspect. But who was she kidding? She barely knew anyone here to know their intentions. Was it the same pair of eyes who stared right through her soul this morning or was it someone different?
Jia was yet to figure that out.The next day after attending half of her classes, Jia was making her way through the crowd when another silver head identical to Jia's but with much shorter hair and definitely of a boy, was heading towards the same direction when his eyes caught Jia's figure. He seemed quite stunned maybe a little confused and doubtful too when he saw Jia. Why? For now only he knows. His steps quickened and with long strides he reached where Jia was and held onto her wrist making her turn around to see who had the audacity to hold her hands without her permission only to be hit with the same emotions as on the boy's face, appalled and a little confused. However she was quick to mask her expressions with a neutral one.
"Ji..." Was what came out of the boy's mouth.
"Jay." Jia replied in acknowledgement.
"What are you doing here? Why are you here? When did you come to korea?" Jay seemed to be full of questions.
Jia heaved a sigh before replying. "I came to korea last week, and I plan on staying because as you can see, I've enrolled in this university." Jia gestured to herself.
To say that Jay was shocked would be an understatement yet he continued his string of questions.
"How come dad never told me about this?"
"That's because your dad doesn't know. I did not feel the need to inform him. " Jia sighed once again.
"Where have you been living all this time?" He questioned once again.
"Hotel" The grey-haired girl replied shortly. It looked like she didn't wanted to go any further with this conversation.
Jay once again looked stunned after hearing her but kept his calm and tried to continue the conversation.
"Why didn't you go home instead? My mom would've loved to have you, you know? We could've stayed together for a while before your classes started. You know it would have been perfect." Jay told her looking a little hopeful for some reasons.
"It's fine. I didn't wanted to be a burden." Jia replied soon after.
"Why do you think so? I told you, it would've been perfect with you around. I don't see any problem here." Jay replied cautiously.
"That's the problem, you all are perfect together and I'm far from it. Please, just let me be that way." Jia replied almost beggingly.
"Jia, what are you talking about? I don't get you." Poor Jay seemed almost lost.
"Please Jay let's be like we used to be, back when I was in the States. Let's just ignore each other's existence like we've been doing for years. I cannot suddenly start pretending that I know you or something" The girl stated in a monotonous voice.
With Jia's words, Jay seemed to have gotten a little hurt but his expression was soon replaced by a cold one. Before he quicky regained his composure and replied.
"If that's you want Park Jia. Have a great stay here." With his last words Jay quicky left her side and made his way to his group of friends who seemed to have noticed their interaction yet decided to remain oblivious in order to respect Jay's private life. However what they failed to notice was that there was also a certain someone now grinning maliciously almost like a predator who has spotted it's new prey.
