Beomgyu scanned his eyes through the café, that didn't belong to Taehyun and were supposed to meet in. He frowned when he didn't see any signs of the specific black-haired.
At the moment, his phone buzzed, showing a text.
Taehyun:
I'm running late by a few minutes. I'll be there soon.
Beomgyu sighed, shaking his head as he found himself a seat in an almost empty café. He was going to show up with his parents but they had a last-minute work emergency so henceforth, they couldn't join.
God, Beomgyu hated that.
That means that he has to converse with Taehyun's parents. Talking to elder people was always something he wasn't good at.
A few minutes passed and Taehyun still didn't arrive yet. Beomgyu found himself getting bored. He took out his phone and unlocked it, opening his thread of chats that Kai had sent him. Most of them consisted of cute animal videos.
But, there was this one message that made Beomgyu chuckle, lightening his damp mood, he got from his mom, earlier this morning.
'Buy it for me! I'll be counting on you~' Is what the message read, followed by a picture of a large Boba-tea plushie.
Beomgyu quickly typed a 'No way' message before clicking on the send button. However, his attention was captured by a woman, taking a seat in front of him, seeming to be in her mid-twenties.
"Is this Choi Beomgyu?" She asked with a polite smile.
"Yes," Beomgyu replied with a puzzled expression. "How may I help you?"
"I'm your wedding planner-" She was interrupted by a panting Taehyun, who bent down, having his hands on his knees. "Are you okay?" She asked, seeing how Taehyun snatched the glass of water, which was in front of Beomgyu, gulping it down.
"I'm- fine." Taehyun said as he tried to smile but seemed confused. "Who are you, though?" But before the wedding planner could answer, he turned over to Beomgyu with a gasp. "Is that your date?"
Beomgyu looked at Taehyun, weirdly. "What bullshit are you spewing? Of course, she isn't my date! I just met her."
Fortunately, the wedding planner interrupted them, waving her hands in the air with an awkward chuckle. "No, no. I'm not his date. I'm the wedding planner that your parents had hired."
"Oh," The tip of Taehyun's ears were red, now. He apologized for his assumption before taking a seat next to Beomgyu, who whispered in his ears.
"Why would you even assume that she was my date?"
"I don't know, okay?" Taehyun defended himself. "It looked like a date, without context."
Beomgyu pinched the bridge of his nose. "We're supposed to be getting married, idiot. Engaged people don't just assume that their partners are on a date with someone that isn't them."
"Well, I'm sorry, okay?" Taehyun rolled his eyes, smoothing the fabric of his sage-green hoodie. "My mind cannot grasp onto the fact that we're getting married!"
"Whatever," Beomgyu said before giving a sweet smile to the wedding planner, for which Taehyun scoffed.
Still smiling and his eyes on the planner, he pinched Taehyun's thigh, who lightly squeaked. "You bitch-"
"You both are very adorable." The planner laughed before her tone switched to professionalism. "You can call me Dami. Shall we get started?"
"Your parents aren't coming?" Beomgyu asked Taehyun, who shook his head.
