After the mission Giyuu and Obanai went on, they genuinely keep their friendship a secret for awhile. Until when the 21 year old trio went on a mission together, Sanemi notices Obanai's snake, Kaburamaru, keeps hissing at Giyuu as if he wants them to talk.

1 week and 5 days before Tanjiro happened

Sanemi- Oi Obanai, why is your stupid snake hissing at the depressed emo?
Obanai- As if I know?!
Giyuu💭He knows.. Clearly
Sanemi- Well tell it to shut up!
Obanai- How about YOU shut up?!
Sanemi- Tch your lucky your my friend or else I would've just thrown you in the river.
Obanai rolls his eyes
Obanai- Yeah yeah
Giyuu💭Are they seriously friends?
Sanemi- What are you think about Emo?
Giyuu looks at Sanemi
Giyuu- Nothing...
Obanai shoots a short glance at Giyuu. Giyuu notices and looks back at Obanai a little.
Sanemi- Well okay then.
As the three were walking, they encountered multiple demons. They were a little worn out from the amount of demons they fought, but managed. The trio go to a nearby village Kagaya told them to stay at after sunset.
Obanai- Your sure this is the place?
Sanemi- Yeah, where else would it be?
Obanai- Somewhere other than a crappy looking building?!
Sanemi- Just deal with it!
They enter the building and get a room. Sanemi was downstairs, Obama was five rooms away from Sanemi, and Giyuu was one room away from Obanai.
They head to their rooms. Giyuu follows Obanai for love advice.
Obanai- Why the fvck are you following for Tomioka?
Giyuu- I have a question
Obanai- Which is?
Giyuu- You and Sanemi act nothing like friends.. How are you two friends?
Obanai- We became friends because we both hated you. And started a hate group about you.
Giyuu- Seriously?
Obanai- Yes
Giyuu- How can I be friends with him?
Obanai- Well, I know Sanemi likes Ohagi
Obanai- Maybe you can give him one?
Giyuu- Okay
Giyuu leaves Obanai room. Obanai sits on his bed, unsure if Sanemi favorite food is actually Ohagi.
Giyuu makes Ohagi and walks to Sanemi room. He knocks on his door. Sanemi opens it
Sanemi- The fvck you want emo?
Giyuu holds out the Ohagi
Sanemi- What the fvck are you doing?
Giyuu- Will you be my friend?
Sanemi- FVCK NO!
Giyuu- Just take the Ohagi
Sanemi- What if you poisoned it?
Giyuu- Why would I?
Sanemi- Get out.
Giyuu- Until you take the Ohagi
Sanemi- GET. OUT.
Sanemi pushes Giyuu away and slams the door on him.
Not even ten minutes later Sanemi gets a knock on his door AGAIN.
Sanemi- I SWEAR TO MY DEAD MOTHER GIYUU
Sanemi opens the door to see Obanai standing in front of him, holding Giyuu like a child.
Obanai- Was it necessary for you to knock out Giyuu?
Sanemi- He's knocked out?
Obanai- Clearly!
Sanemi- Why do you care?
Obanai- Isn't he our comrade?!
Sanemi falls silent
Obanai- Anyways that is all I had to say
Obanai- Bye Sanemi!
Sanemi- God!
Obanai looks at him
Sanemi- Let me help you bring him to the Infernery
Obanai smiles smally under his mask
Obanai- Alright then Sanemi!
The two bring Giyuu to the Infernery, and leave him there. Obanai goes to his room and realizes Kaburamaru slithered away.
Obanai💭SERIOUSLY?!
Sanemi enters Obanai room without permission
Sanemi- Hey-
Obanai jumps
Obanai- GODYOUGAVEMEAHEARTATTACK
Obanai- What?
Sanemi- Your snake is trying to eat my hair
Obanai laughs a little.
Sanemi blushes in EMBARRASSMENT
Sanemi- J-j-j-j-just take your dumb white snake!
Obanai- Rude much?
Sanemi- Oh shut it
Kaburamaru slither down Sanemi arm and onto Obanai neck
Sanemi- How come you never noticed he left?
Obanai- I'm half blind.
Sanemi- Oh...
Obanai- ...
Sanemi stares at Obanai while he stares back. Salami got both of them in a rather awkward situation. Obama kinda stands there.
Obanai- Just get out already
Sanemi- Alright then Snakey
Obanai- See you airhead
Sanemi leaves wondering why his heart is fluttering
Obanai shuts the door and goes on his bed and sleeps.
