I backed away from the crowd as it began to disperse. I made sure to head to a far corner of the cabin so no one could bother me.

What am I working with right now... I have to kill living things... I have to... kill... living things...

I racked my brains as I divided the clear conditions' sentences into different segments. 'Kill', 'one or more', 'living things'...

I, for one, wasn't going to let this absurd situation create a murderer out of me. There had to be a logical way out of this place- Wait. Living beings. What defines living things? Living things are... organisms...?

I felt my heartbeat increase and a gut feeling told me I was close to the answer.

Organisms... Divide them into small categories and you get multicellular and unicellular... Fuck. What did you learn in Bio apart from making elaborate paper planes... Think, think, think, think...

My train of thought was interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Shit. I'm in a bad mood and this old lady keeps whining and groaning! Won't you shut the fuck up??"

My head snapped to the direction of the speaker. No doubt, it was Namwoon.

"Didn't I tell you to shut up!?"

I stared in disbelief as well as fear when I saw him grabbing the collar of the old grandmother who I saw a mere moment ago. She was powerless against him and made no move to struggle, despite Namwoon raising his fist in the air. Even an idiot would know he was going in for the kill.

I winced when I heard the sound of his hard fist coming into contact with her flesh. At this point, someone should be stepping up to stop him. However, that someone wasn't going to be me.

"S-Save me..."

I heard the old woman mutter as her eyes scanned the crowd. My heart sank when her gaze landed on me and my uniform.

"Young man, treating an elder like this..."

The same man who waved his cheques in front of the Dokkaebi stepped up. Honestly, I was surprised. He seemed so arrogant and haughty from how he acted in front of the Dokkaebi. Perhaps I was too quick to judge. Namwoon, however, cared nothing for treating elderly the proper way. He glanced up at the man and gave a scowl.

"Mister. Do you wanna die??" He responded to the man in a scornful tone.

"What?"

"You still don't understand the situation?"

The man was taken aback by how brash Namwoon was.

"What bullshit is this brat saying??"

Namwoon gave an eerie cackle. I've never heard him laugh before and I most certainly don't want to hear it again.

"Can't you see that?" Namwoon asked the man as he pointed to the holographic screen on the ceiling. On it were scenes of bloodshed in various areas of Seoul. The spine-chilling screams and pleadings of the citizens were enough to make one's blood go cold.

Under the bright lights, a dark shadow was casted across Namwoon's face and I finally saw him for his true colours. A cold-blooded murderer hidden underneath a delinquent's appearance.

Namwoon waved his arms around as if orchestrating an ensemble as he spoke, "Don't you understand?? The army isn't coming to rescue us! ... And somebody must die."

I froze when I heard the word 'die'. No... He's wrong... It's not a matter of 'who' is going to get killed... It's a matter of 'what'.

His words brought me back into my pondering.
