There's a pic of Violet on the side.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue all of this. Just to forget about the past, and carry on with life; to forget what happened to me, with him.

I started to regret coming here. I mean there's nothing out here for me. I have no job, my apartment neighbor is a dickhead, and I have to continue with the constant fear of people finding me.

It's already midnight, and I'm wide awake. My brother called me a few times throughout the day, but I didn't answer. I'm still mad at him for what he did to me a few months ago.

He abandoned me in a bar while I was knocked-out-drunk. I woke up surrounded by some thirsty ass guys that were already half naked.

How did I escape you say? Well lets just say that my dad taught me how to defend myself. Back in High School in my Freshman year so that I wouldn't have any problems with the older kids.

I shake off my thoughts. I can't think about my family right now.

I continue to look up at the ceiling. The dim moonlight creeps in the room, giving my skin a glowing blue-white shade. I hear the cars pass by, on the wet road. A few drops of rain hit the window glass, and when they connect to other drops, they pool down until they fall off.

I sit up after a few loud, yet deep thoughts, and silent feelings. What I mean by silent feelings is that they have no meaning in to being in my body. Like one of the many silent feelings for me is love. Love is an illusion. Making you feel all warm and special, but then you would end up crying at three in the morning; wanting to know why that person doesn't love you back.

Lucky for me I was in a relationship love, which just means you have someone with you. I thought I loved him, and I thought he did also. But it was all just a put up act.

So tell me you believe in love. 'Cause its not an illusion to me. He used to say to concur my heart. And he did, but I wish I wouldn't have fallen into his tricks.

I drag myself off of bed, and I go in the kitchen. I make myself a cup of coffee. Coffee is the only thing that takes my mind off of the past thoughts.

When the coffee was done I poured myself some in a mug, and I grabbed my coat along with my keys to get out of this apartment.

When I got out, the freezing cold air smashes against my face. I'm quite used to the cold weathers 'cause I was raised in the north, but this one took me off guard.

I took a long sip of the black coffee out of my mug before walking down by the staircase.

"Fuck." I say under my breath when I realize that the same guy from yesterday is seated at the very bottom of the staircase, smoking on a cigarette.

A dark brown hair guy that's next to him stands up, and burned out his cigarette by stepping on it.

"Where you goin' Louis?" The guy asks.

"Home. I'm tired already Harry." The guy who I believe is called Louis says.

So the dickhead boy is called Harry huh. What a ridiculous name.

Louis walks away, and when Harry's eyes land on mine he flicks me the middle finger.

The blood from the inside of me starts to boil. I feel like cussing him out. To attack him like some wild animal from the deep Amazons.

"Look." I begin to speak while walking towards him. "We both got on each other's bad side. So lets start over. My name's Violet."

I decided to not go like some psycho chick and just go with the calm vibe.

"You were named after a color?" He looks at me as if it were to be a joke.

"And you were named after a wizard? Harry." I mock him back.

He blows out a cloud of smoke before responding. "Actually my real name is Harold. Harry is just a nickname. And the first book of the series was first published in June 26 in 1997. Scholastic Corporation published an edition for the US back in 1998. Making me older than the book." He points out, surprising me that he's not a total dickhead when it comes to knowledge.

"Ha. Dickhead and a nerd. A two in one special, must be my lucky day." I laugh a little.

"Laugh it all you want. Knowledge is the only thing you need to survive this berserk world they name it Earth." He blows out a couple of more clouds of smoke before burning out his cigarette.

I sit next to him at the very bottom step of the stairs. "Who said you could sit here?" He rudely asks.

"I can do what I want to do."

He rolls his eyes. "Bitchy and sassy. A two for one special." He mocks me.

I take another sip of my black coffee before staring at him while he looks out the hallway.

I haven't noticed how his eyes looked until now. They are in a deep shade of green, like looking into a small green tea bag.

"Why are you looking at me? You were staring at me yesterday and now today." He says in a low raspy voice.

Our thighs are pressed to each other, and our elbows also touch, but I don't think he has noticed it yet.

I have this weird feeling of enjoying his warmth and the company of being here. I'm fucking going crazy.

"Sorry." I mumble, looking down to the dark coffee in my mug.

"Nah it's okay. I'm used to girls drooling over me." He chuckles.

"I wasn't drooling over you!" I can feel my cheeks heat up, and that just makes him laugh even harder.

"Aw is Violet blushing?" He teases.

Ugh. I hate it when people do this. My brother used to embarrass me like this all the time.

"Leave me alone Harry Potter." I raise the rim of the mug up to my mouth, but he snatched it away from me, causing a few drops to spill on my shirt.

"You fucking got coffee on my Acdc shirt you moron!" I stand up, looking down to one of my favorite crop top shirts that has a band name on it.

"Watch your language." He warns me with a smirk.

"I can fucking cuss as many fucking times as I fucking want to you fucking bastard!" I repeated the cuss word just to taunt him.

He rolls his eyes before looking in my mug. "What are you drinking?"

"Coffee."

"Why is it so dark?"

"'Cause it's black coffee, stupid."

He looks at me with a disgusted face. "You drink black coffee? Do you at least add some sugar?"

"Nope." I shake my head. "I drink it as bitter as your soul." I say it with a straight face.

He laughs, making me laugh a little. "Why are you so salty?" He says in between his laugh.

"That's just how I am." Now I'm back to my normal serious face.

He hands me back my mug. "Well I'm digging this sexy sass of yours." He smirks at me.

Don't fall into his trap Violet. He's just playing around with your feelings.

I start to walk away towards my apartment. I then hear footsteps follow me. "Where ya going?" He asks.

"A place where you're not in."
