3rd Person POV
..
Violet woke up with the annoying sunlight beaming on her eyes. It took her a few seconds for her to realize where she woke up; she still isn't used to waking up in a new place.
At first Violet thought it would be hard having to just automatically switch the move on switch and just pretend that her past was never made. She still can't believe that she had to leave everything back home just because of a stupid decision.
How can you move on? She always thought to herself, but little did she know that she does know the answer to the question, she just has to keep on asking herself until she realizes.
The only way to move on is to pretend like what happened never happened. You just have to keep hope in you so you can get out of bed, and live life like if you were to just be born in that moment; curious and alive.
Violet never believed that just by ignoring the past it would just make it go away, yet that's what she's doing right now.
Violet rolls herself out of bed, and gets dressed. Her brother had helped her find a job yesterday since she needs one to keep up with the rent and bills at the end of each month.
She just dressed herself in some casual clothes; a black T-shirt that says Gun n Roses, a red and blue flannel around her waist in some ripped black skinny jeans and black combat boots. It was a bit too much black, but that's just how she likes it.
She poured herself some black coffee in her favorite coffee cup that reads I don't give a fuck in bold white letters before grabbing her phone and keys.
Violet knows her cup isn't quite appropriate to be used in public, especially in a work place, but she just doesn't give a fuck; just like her cup says.
This time she wanted to try something different, so she climbed to her fire-escape instead of going out the front door.
She jumped off and landed on her two feet, lucky for her she knows parkour. She just fixed her shirt before walking down the street like if it were to be normal for a girl to jump off a fire-escape.
She got a job at stacking aisles at a store called Target. She doesn't shop there much, but when she does, she constantly finds herself buying supplies to make diys she finds in YouTube.
She kept on walking until she saw the Target logo in bright red with a sign pointing at the direction.
When she got inside she went to the customer service place to grab her uniform like they informed her to do so when she applied. It was just a red polo like shirt and her name tag. She put the shirt over her band shirt and waited for the woman that handed her the uniform to tell her what to do next.
"Okay well for today all you have to do is just put away the items in those boxes." The lady said pointing at a huge stack of boxes with the name of the store printed on it.
Violet almost spit out her coffee from the sight of the enormous mountain of boxes.
"I-I have to put all of that away?" Violet chokes.
"Yes-- well actually someone was supposed to come in to work today but I guess he's gonna be late. He's the one that would help you, but I'm sure he'll be here before you're even half way done." She smiled at Violet before giving her a small wave to get back to work.
Violet didn't know where to start. She couldn't start from the bottom of the stack or all the boxes would fall, and the stack was too tall for her to reach the top. So she decided to just Jenga style this shit.
She put her coffee down and put her hands on the middle box. "One... two... three." She counted to herself before quickly pulling out the box. She closed her eyes shut; expecting for the stack to fall on her, but it didn't.
"That was close." She sighed to herself before grabbing her coffee and headed to the aisle that was printed on the box. The box wasn't heavy at all, so she thought it wouldn't be much to put away.
She then got to the pharmacy section of the store, so she then thought it would maybe be pills or something like that. When she opened the box she almost gasped.
Great! She sarcastically thought to herself. I have to put condoms away. She looked around first to see if nobody was around before putting all the condoms away. She cached a few flavor and color condoms and made a face of disgust.
"Who wants to be sucking on a green apple flavor condom?" She said before finishing up with the box.
Violet has been in a relationship before, she just never thought about using any flavor condoms.
She threw the box away before walking back to the stack to grab another box. On her way there a customer looked at her coffee cup, then back up to her.
"Um ma'am," the man begins to speak, giving her cup a weird look. "I don't think that's appropriate."
Violet took a sip before replying to him. "Your face isn't appropriate either but you don't see me nagging about it." She fires at him with a smirk.
"Excuse me? I will report you to the manager of this store." His voice got a little higher before he crossed his arms.
"Go ahead." Violet challenged. "Just like my cup says, I don't give a fuck." Violet gave him a fake smile before walking away, feeling proud of herself.
To be honest she was a little worried that she might lose her job on her first day, but she didn't want to show it. She knows that what she did wasn't right, but she just wanted to have some fun.
When Violet was picking up another box an employee came up to her, the same woman from customer service.
"Your partner for helping you with all these boxes has arrived already. He's in the cosmetics department and needs your help with putting items away." The woman who seems to be called Stacy warmly smiles at Violet before going back to her spot.
Violet asked Stacy to watch her coffee cup while she worked, so she wouldn't get anymore complains about her inappropriate cup.
Violet mentally rolled her eyes to the ridiculous thing. Why can't people mind their own damn business? She asked herself.
As she made her way to the cosmetics part she thought to herself about her partner; the only thing she knows is that it's a guy. Violet is quite glad that she doesn't have to put all the items away by herself-- the only problem is that she's very antisocial and awkward when it comes to people.
What if I trip and fall? What if I have something on my teeth and make a complete fool of myself? Why can't I just crawl in a hole and die?!
"Pull yourself together Violet!" She shouts to herself, getting some looks from the shoppers around her. She just shakes her head and tries to calm herself.
"Let's just pray that my partner isn't a dirtbag like that Harry guy." She told herself as she made a left to the cosmetics department.
Right when she saw who her partner was she almost screamed. It wasn't a guy like Harry-- it is Harry.
_______________________Hey! Well I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and the way I wrote it in 3rd person POV instead of a character's POV.
Next chapter it will be in her POV bc I feel like it's easier to explain the feelings of a character by being the character's POV
I tried to update yesterday but the Wifi wanted to play with my feelings and decided to be a little dickhead.
People have told me that they like Violet's sass so I'll be adding a lot of it.
Love you!
