My head is against the window, teeth slightly vibrating from the bumpy road the bus is driving on. My earbuds are in, but I'm not listening to music. I need to hear the heartbeat of the world, but didn't want the world to know I was listening.
I was staring outside from the small window next to the couch as the boys played cards; maybe even gambling. It's Louis' turn to drive, and he's okay with that since he didn't want to play cards with the rest.
Ten minutes later, and the small houses turned into used-car lots then into what they call downtown around here. It has a small pinch of beauty in it, but it's mainly coming from the hidden vintage look rambled underneath the city's dust. The roads are stained with motor oil and cracks, but that's nothing compared to seeing the poor homeless people begging for money.
I still don't know where we're heading--but if it means I'll be safe from Shadow and not seeing my family-- then it doesn't matter to me. It has been two days, and I feel like I know a good amount about the boys. I know a few things like their likes and dislikes, but nothing more. I tried to share as little as possible about myself, and I like how they don't ask much questions.
Niall and Louis are very funny, especially Niall since he made me laugh like some maniac at 2am last night. Even though Louis is the oldest, he acts like the youngest. Liam is a bit more ripe than the two, a type of guy you can talk about anything to, and will respond to your weirdness with weirdness. Now Harry is just the boulder of them all. Never laughs, never smiles, but reflects the emotions of a brick wall. Sometimes he would act a bit positive, but that's just when he's smoking, drinking or knows he's about to get something he wants.
I know Harry is the leader of the gang or something like that, but every time I try to get some info about it, they all change the subject. It's like they're hiding something from me-- which clearly they are-- but so am I, so I decide not to push their buttons.
I remove my turned off earbuds. "Where are we heading?" I ask, looking at the small rounded table that Harry, Liam and Niall are playing in.
Liam snaps his head at my direction. "At a club. I've heard it gets pretty wild around midnight," he smiles.
Niall just rolls his eyes. "That's in every club. It wouldn't be considered one if it weren't wild you moron." He insults Liam, but he doesn't take it seriously.
Harry deeply examines the cards in his fingers, a small vertical crease forms along in the middle of his eyebrows as he narrows them. His deep green eyes then quickly look up, connecting to mine. We share a long gaze, or maybe glare, I don't know since I can't read his facial expression.
He then looks down, and smirks, slapping his cards on the table. "The money is all mine boys." He says in a way that it even send shivers down my spine. I don't know the rules of the game, but Harry had four cards, all with the same red heart pattern. He then hunts for the small stack of money on the center of the table. Liam and Niall both whine and groan, not believing that Harry just won.
He then surprises me by taking a seat on the couch next to where I'm laid back in. He takes out the money he just won from his back pocket, and rests it on my thigh.
"You deserve it." He softly spoke, but still no facial expression.
"Uhm why-"
He cuts me off. "Believe me, you'll need it."

We then arrived at a small club next to an Irish Pub, reminding me the streets in New York. I wasn't dressed in anything fancy since all my clothes were left behind, but I did manage to buy myself some decent clothes.
I'm tired, and wanted to be left alone in the bus, but I feel like I should get out more often so I won't become too overwhelmed to the whole traveling thing. I still think my life is changing too quick that it seems unreal, but hey, that's exactly what life is.
I sat on a chair connected to a large rectangular table made out of some sort of very dark reddish brown wood. The club looks fancy, and has a European styles dipped in it all.
Louis offers me a bottle of Vodka, and I didn't hesitate on taking it. One shot then became three, then turning into seven. The music became louder, thumping its way inside of me. It feels like there's a stereo inside of me, but that's just from the loud music. What felt like seconds were actually minutes, and I feel like the alcohol then started to kick in my system.
Everything started to go fast, and my head started to spin around. The vibrant colors in the place became darker, coating a thin line of darkness around me. I continued to chug down shots of Vodka with some cherry like mix blended in it to give some flavor to the bitter taste of alcohol. The liquid burned down my throat like acid, and before I knew it I started to see people running around.
At first I thought my mind was playing an illusion on me, but then that's when I heard a gunshot.
