Chapter 6: The Past

My heart is sad because they killed each other.

The fire has turned to ashes.
The noise of the market was replaced by the clanking of weapons.

People in the past believed that if a child was mixed between other races, it would bring disaster to mankind at that time. By believing in the predictions made by fortune tellers or sorcerers the thing strengthens their belief. This resulted in mass murdering of half-bloods in the past, as well as the extinction of a few races, like the Dragons.

   The demons who are the most powerful of the races were the first to be hunted down. They were forced to hide themselves in fear for their lives. Aranoth who is young adult demon who has fall in love with elf made a bad mistake by married her and have their first daughter that were named Yoriko. People who lived nearby them were shocked and they tried to kill their daughter. In response Aranoth killed a couple humans and the news spread all over the city. This made the humans even more angry and the war between the humans and the demons began.

   But Miranda who elf made a better decision by give her daughter to Aranoth to take care when he get back to the Underworld realm. Aranoth was happy and decided to take care of her with his own life. Miranda promised to him that she will always visits them when she have a time. But unfortunately the elves and the humans was still mad at him. They wanted to revenge on the demon king and they decided to find him. But they have no idea how to go to Underworld realm because no one ever get there, only Miranda who knows the path that leading to Underworld realm. She wants to meet her daughter and her husband again but she got into a little fight with him. 

   "You can't take Yoriko from me! I'm her mother!" Shout Miranda.

   "I will protect you and our daughter." said Aranoth.

   "Don't do something stupid! If the humans want to kill you, then let them!" shouted Miranda.

   "No! Why?! You are mother of her and I have the responsibility to take care of you!" shouted Aranoth.

   "I'm an elf. I will live long life until thousand of years later. But you... you will die soon because you're demon!" said Miranda.

   "Then what should I do?! I'm the demon king and I know how to take care of myself! Miranda, look at me. I promise you that I will not let anyone get into the Underworld realm." said Aranoth.

   "You're an idiot and I can't believe that you are my husband. You don't need to take care of me!" shouted Miranda.

   Before Miranda left, Aranoth snapped and took her hand and kissed her. Miranda's eyes widened at what Aranoth had done. She tried to fight but Aranoth's stout and strong body made her fail in fighting herself and her lust. Finally she fell in her own lust. Far from the corner of her heart, she didn't want to make the same mistake. She didn't want to, she would be ashamed of herself later when her family found out what she did. Yoriko who sees what they both doing feel anger on her heart. Finally Miranda slapped Aranoth on his face with a tears on her eyes.

   "How could you do this to me?! You deliberately took advantage of me! I hate you! I hate you, Aranoth!" sobbed Miranda.

   Aranoth was shocked and tried to explain himself but Miranda didn't want to listen to him anymore and went home with her own daughter. Yoriko looked at her father with disappointment. Her mother who she always admired is crying and she was raped by her own father.. Yoriko was angry but she felt hurt. Aranoth and Miranda are in forbidden love when demons and elves cannot be together despite having children and as a result they will be punished by death. Yoriko hate her mother for that because it's her fault for making her father raped her. Want it or not they three have to separate in good way. Miranda still can't denied that their love was forbidden and they have to go to their own ways. She didn't want to meet him or even her daughter for the rest of her life. Aranoth on the other hand feel hurt because his wife doesn't want him anymore. Yoriko was still a child and didn't know what will happened to her.
