Background:
Niall Marin was the brother of Hanna Marin, they are the same age but Niall is 3 months older than Hanna. He has been best friends with the girls ever since h got bullied and Alison took him in. He is very protective of his friends and he will do anything to protect them even if that means getting hurt in the process.
Niall was hurt more by their dad leaving than Hanna was as Hanna has the better relationship with their father but Niall doesn't want to know because as far as he is concerned he left them and left their mum without warning. He hates it when Hanna becomes friends with Mona so he stays friends with Emily and they stayed close even though the rest of the drifted apart after Aria went to Iceland.
Niall was close with Alison but he didn't like the way she treated people and sometimes he would stick up for the people she bullied because he knows what it is liked to be bullied but sometimes he was too afraid because he didn't want to lose the friends that he had made like Spencer, Aria and Emily.
