The polar opposite of America when it comes to meeting new people.

He often stays quiet and watches from afar when he's near people he doesn't know. With people he does know, he's more talkative.
But he has to talk to new people since it's his role to tell the new towns people what the rules are of the town.

However, he can be a bit stubborn. So just be careful on what you say. However, other than that, he's genuinely just a chill guy.

The only time you'll see him wearing a ushaka is during winter. But that happens when a snow storm is happening or when it's too cold.
Often times he has a half ski mask on, waiting to be used. Yes even during the summer, he'll have a ski mask on for an odd reason.
Many suggest that since he's a bear hybrid, he can smell something gross more than a human so he uses the mask to muffle the smelling sense.

He'll sometimes secretly steal Britain's teabags at night since there are times he doesn't feel like shopping or he doesn't know what to choose so he'll take Britains.
Britain is completely unaware of this lmao.

This Russia absolutely despises Vodka.
He had a taste of it and is still regretting it to this day. So no he's not an alcoholic.

He's strong, but not as strong as America.

He mainly hangs out with China majority of the time. Sometimes with Germany, but not as common since it appears the German family has generationally rage baited the Russian family a lot.

He will also occasionally dump rather lore of the stuff he's into to someone (N.K is his victim) if he feels bored.

He's the only biological child of Soviet and Tsarita.

The other three are adopted since Tsarita randomly found them on the street and yoinked them from the street.

He was considered the golden child by Soviet so he wasn't treated as badly as others.
A theory to this is that Soviet didn't want to recreate his relationship with his dad (R.E), hence why he was considered the golden child. However, Soviet was not prepared to take care of three more children, hence why he wasn't the best father to them.

Russia was also unaware of the mistreatment of others so he didn't help them really.

Upon 1990, Russia wanted to be a bit more independent since he felt like he was too shielded by Soviet. The onion allowed this since again, Russia was the golden child.

His relations with Ukraine wasn't good to begin with. One example could be Russia blaming Ukraine for making Soviet lose his eye since she didn't try breaking free from the Roach. Or distracting the Roach.

Despite this, they do care for each other and will get protective of Ukraine if he suspects someone is acting off near her.

The best step-sibling relationship he has with is with Belarus.

Speaking of the Roach, Russia still has the scar from when he was stabbed in the stomach by Third when Operation Barbarossa happened.

He doesn't have much of a past unlike America since he gained his independence way later and was shielded by Soviet. So he had a relatively a normal childhood.

But there is one thing he was truly traumatized by.
