Chapter 2

                                   Alix's POV
"We only talked for a few minutes."

"Uh girl no. You talked with him for a damn hour and 45 minutes. I kept track since I wanted to see if I needed to save you. You should be proud of yourself."

I chuckled.

"Like I said...I have nothing to lose. We were alone and nobody was watching to see if I got rejected."

"He gives me "Fuck Boy" vibes but he didn't seem like one."

"I never got that vibe from him. He gives me "Teddy Bear" vibes."

"Can we start to actually shop now?"

I looked at my phone and saw time it was.

Woah.

We actually talked for a while?

How the hell did that happen?

We walked around the mall until I had to pick Malik up.

"Aunt Lixie!!"

"Hi! How was your day?"

I grabbed his hand and we started walking to my car. He started telling me about his short day of school.

"You seem extra happy."

"I talked to a boy."

"Really?!"

"Yeah. I went to school with him actually. Do you have any homework?"

"Yeah. I don't like homework. It stinks!"

"I know. I never liked it either."

We got to my car and I unlocked it. I opened the door and Malik hopped into his car seat. He helped me put his seatbelt on. I shut the door then walked to the driver's side. I got in and out my seatbelt on then started the car.

"Since you had a half day..what do you wanna do? Do you wanna go to the zoo?"

"No. Can we go home so I can take a nap?"

"Yep."

I drove home and once we got inside, I sent Malik to wash up.

"Your mom is on her lunch break. Can you call her to check in for me?"

"Okay!"

I went and started doing my laundry.

"Aunt Ali? Should I do my homework before, I nap?"

"I think you should. You won't have to worry about not doing it when you wake up."

"Can you come sit with me?"

"Okay. Let me finish starting my laundry first please. I'll meet you at the table."

He ran off and I went back to doing my laundry. I finished up then went to find Malik. He was sitting at the table and he was working on his homework. I sat down next to him.

I started watching him do his homework. When he was done, he put everything away.

"Do you want to eat before your nap?"

"No. I'm okay. Can you wake me up for dinner pleaseeee?"

"Of course."

He jumped up then walked to his room.

"Have a good nap!"

My phone went off and I picked it up. Melly told me to open the front door. I walked to it and opened it.

"You need to be quiet. Mal is taking a nap."

She walked inside then I shut then locked the door.

"Do you want a drink?"

"Sure. Can you grab me cola?"

"Let me see if we have anymore. Why are you here? I literally saw you not then 2 hours ago."

"I know but I needed to tell you this in person."

I grabbed a soda and handed it to her.

"So you know how Jacob has three brothers?"

"Yeah. I do. Why?"

"I slid into one of their dms."

"You did WHAT?!"
