Cedric had been having dreams of the past, and of the times he was younger and in love. He didn't necessarily like having these dreams precisely because they remind him of a time that will never come back, of the man he'd never see again. He sighed. The sun was setting, so it was the perfect time for him to go contemplate about things on the roof of the apartment just before he had to go to work. He looked down at Bia, now an adult, sleeping peacefully, curled up into a tiny ball.

even though the time would never reverse, truthfully, Cedric had pretty much recovered happiness that he had with Drake again. He knew that he could get there with Bia. She was under his protection forever; he promised he'd do better this time around because he couldn't do it for Drake. Bia was his second chance, and there was no way he was going to f☆ck it up.

He lit a cigarette and began to smoke it. Bia didn't like when he did it in the apartment, understandably so. She didn't quite like the smell, and she didn't want it around her.

"Cedric ~!"

Speaking of the devil, Cedric suddenly felt arms wrap around his torso, and he looked back, seeing Bia happily clinging to him. He sighed.

"You're up, huh?"

"Yeah. You weren't there when I woke up. It was cold."

Bia circled around him and plopped herself right onto his lap, getting comfortable. The night breeze felt good to her skin.

She looked up at him expectantly with her large eyes, then, Cedric pulled the left strap of her nightgown down, revealing her naked shoulder. His four fangs elongated and sank them into his favorite spot. This is what he'd been waiting for all these years. Bia's blood was the only blood he could tolerate, the only blood he could get down without it threatening to come back up. Drinking from her was his favorite thing to do, and Bia loved it as well since she felt no pain-only pleasure. If it were up to her, she and Cedric would've f☆cked like yesterday. But she knew he was apprehensive about it.

When Cedric had his fill, he licked the wound and it closed up. Bia gasped at the sensations she felt when his tongue made contact with her skin. It got better and better every time; soon, she was going to have to jump him.

"Cedric, how long do I have to wait before you just take me?" She gave him quite a convincing pout.

Cedric scoffed. "Because I like grown women," he teased. "you have to keep waiting."

"Ugh." Bia rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "I'm gonna go see Angel, since he actually acknowleges me as an adult."

"Fine. You can stay there with him, make him deal with you. Don't bother coming back."

Bia stomped off to Angel's apartment, one floor up. He had moved into the building successfully some time ago, and Bia would visit him frequently to his delight. She usually visited him out of boredom or when she was annoyed with Cedric, but that didn't bother him; he was just happy his destined mate wanted to be around him.

That night, Angel had come from a long shift as the custodian for an elementary school, ready to crash onto the bed and go to sleep, even though it was only around 8 o'clock. He was surprised when he turned on the light and found Bia in his kitchen, rummaging through the refrigerator.

"Angel!!" She ran to him and jumped into his arms.

"Hi honey." Angel kissed her cheek.

"Sorry to come in while you weren't here; Cedric was being mean to me. I needed to get away from him."

"It's fine. I know he upsets you sometimes. You know, Bia, if anytime you don't feel like going back, you could spend the night here if you'd like."

Bia ate a piece of chocolate she'd found. "Thanks Angel, that's nice. Cedric just keeps teasing me about not being an adult even though I am one."

Angel laughed. "You sure are," he said, sitting a hand on her head. She gave him one of her pretty smiles he loved so much.

"See? You get it! Anyways, did you just come from work?"

"I did. Those kids are a lot, but they're sweet. Some of them say they like me more than the actual teachers."

"You'd make a good dad, Angel. Come on, let's sit on the couch and watch something." Bia grabbed his much larger hand and pulled him to the little sofa. Then, she flipped the TV on. She ran back and plopped onto Angel's lap.

"Angel, there's something else I've been meaning to talk to you about..."
