Chapter 8

India's POV: I grabbed the kitchen towel off the sink and dried my hands off. Im having my sister Mariah and her baby Bella over for dinner. Their planning on staying for a few weeks. Im so glad shes coming. I haven't talked to Abel in 3 weeks now. I've been ignoring his calls and texts. Im not trying to be played by him. I don't wanna be like those two girls, Valerie and Diana. I looked at the clock and it was 4:30. Mariah is gonna be here at 5. I set the table and pulled the lasagna out of the oven. I set it in the middle of the table and stepped back to examine my work. I smiled and took a quick 10 minute shower. I put my hair in a messy bun and put on some light makeup. I put on some capri leggings and a loose white XO top I got from Abel. I put on some XO socks to match the top. I heard a knock at the door and ran to answer it. "Mariah!" I yelled before realizing it was Abel standing in front of me. "Abel what the hell are you doing here?" "India I love you. And you ignoring me is driving me insane." Abel said stepping into the house. "Abel can we do this later? My sister is coming from Cali with her baby for dinner." I sighed and looked up at him. "Great, Ill join." Abel said smiling. "Fine. Go sit on the couch till they get here." I pointed over to the couch. "Oh India, where is Sean?" Abel said sitting down. "We broke up." I sat down at the island and looked at Abel. Abel bit his lip and smiled. I went in the bathroom to pee. While i was peeing i heard the doorbell ring. "Shit." I mumbled.

Mariah's POV: I rang the doorbell and waited a few minutes before a guy answered the door. "India's sister?" He spoke softly. "Oh mommy! I know that boy! Thats The Weeknd! He sings that song half past 5!" Bella said jumping up and down. "Holy shit, you are The Weeknd. God your so much more gorgeous in person." I said staring at him. "Mariah! Im so sorry. I see you met Abel. Come on in." India said pushing Abel out of the way. "Hi cookie! I missed you!" India said hugging Bella. "You know Abel, Aunt India!" Bella said smiling "Damn Mariah, how does she know all this?" I said getting into my seat next to Abel.

Abel's POV: I stared at Mariah the whole time they talked. She's gorgeous. India kicked me under the table so id stop staring. "Can you stop?" She whispered. "Sorry babe." I said smiling.

India's POV: "Hows the food?" I asked Mariah. "Mm. Its really good." She said wiping her mouth. "How bout you cookie?" I asked Bella. "I like it Auntie." She said taking another bite. "And you Abel?" I said rolling my eyes. "Okay." He said smiling. "Fuck you." I said elbowing him. "You two play like children." Mariah said noticing us. "You still are a child." I said laughing. "Im 19, you ass." She replied laughing. "Mommy, im tired." Bella said looking at Mariah. "Oh come on. I decorated a room only for you when you come to visit." I grabbed Bella's hand and showed her to the room. I pulled out a nightgown for her and helped her into it. "Goodnight cookie. Ill turn the night light on." I said smiling and kissing her on the cheek. "Wait, Auntie. I want Abel to say goodnight to me." She said pulling the covers over her. "Mmmmmmk. Ill go get him." I said walking back into the dining room. "Abel, Bella wants a goodnight from you. Alone." I said looking at him.

Abel's POV: "Sure. Be right back." I walked upstairs to Bella's room and saw her. "Hi." I said walking in. "HI ABEL! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. CAN I HAVE A HUG!" I smiled and walked over to her and hugged her. "Goodnight little lady." I said smiling. "Goodnight, Abel!" She said and closed her eyes. I walked out and closed the door behind me. I went back down stairs and saw Mariah and India doing dishes. "Shes sweet." I said sitting down at the table. "Aww, Abel. She really likes you. She even looks a bit like you." Mariah said turning around and looking at me.
