I miss you when you aren't even mine to miss, I don't even know you
────

Months have passed and there was still no sign of Minho. It's like he disappeared off of the face of the earth. I have gotten closer to Jessica, Mike, Angela and Eric.

They were my first group of friends after so long. I was still a bit skeptical and distant though. Only a fool repeats the same mistakes twice and I ain't no fool.

"Oh Ji! It completely slipped my mind but I've always wanted to ask you where you're from you know originally." Jessica chuckled asking me.

"Oh I'm from Seoul South Korea."

"Don't they speak like Korean there? How is your English so good?"

Everyone rolled their eyes at Mike's remark Angela hitting him on the head. "Ow!"

"Yeah we speak Korean over there. I studied English as I've moved around quite a lot." I stated not really wanting to go any deeper into it.

"Why did your family move to forks though?"

"They didn't, my family is still back in Korea. I came here alone. I live with Charlie."

"Ohhh so like a host family situation type of shit?" Angela asked and I simply nodded.

"That's cool! I wanna hear you say something in Korean."

"Babo."

"Wow what did you say?"

I chuckled before replying"idiot." And his eyes went wide before he poured causing everyone to laugh.

"You're so mean Jisung." I just shrugged at that.

It was time for bio and I prepared myself to sit alone again but to my extreme surprise mister ghost had returned and sat in his seat looking at me.

Our eyes locked and I swear it did something to my heart that I refused to admit aloud. "Oh fuck." I muttered under my breath and I swear I could see him smirk like he understood what I said.

I carefully made my way to my seat. "Hey." He spoke and I scoffed.

"Really you come back from the dead and hey is all you say?" I asked him annoyed and he just nodded and smiled at me.

"Okay weirdo." He nudged my arm. "You're supposed to say hey back." He pouted a little and I rolled my eyes before turning to look at him plastering on a sweet fake smile. "Hi!"

He chuckled at my behaviour and then the teacher came and silenced the class.

"Today class we will cut open onions and see which phase they are in! Those who have everything right and finished first shall win this amazing price! The one and only golden onion!" He cheered to which the class rolled their eyes.

"Now get to work with your partner while I do some teacher work." He said and pulled out his phone for god knows why.

I took the microscope and looked through the lens to see which phase it was.

"Prophase." I said and he looked at me. "You mind if I check?" I scoffed slightly. "What don't you trust me?"

"I do, I just want to check for myself."

"Well then go ahead and check only to see I'm right." I shoved the microscope closer to him and he gave me a nod before checking himself.

"Prophase."

"Like I said."

He chuckled before writing it down and checking the next slide. "Anaphase."

"Mind if I check?" I raised my eyebrow and he smiled at me. "Go for it. But you'll only see I'm right."

Ohh he wants to play huh. Then let's play Minho.

"Anaphase."

"Like I said."

I rolled my eyes playfully before we continued and finished the exercise. "You're Korean right?"

"Yeah."

"What are you doing here of all places?"

"I could ask you the same thing."

"My family likes to move."

"Something similar."

"How so?"

"Curious one aren't you."

"I'm just... trying to read you Jisung."

I stopped in front of my locker and looked at him. "Did you get contacts? You're eyes were black last time I saw you now they are like golden."

"No it was just the bad lighting." I looked at him and he sighed. "We shouldn't be friends Jisung."

"Okay? Then why are you talking to me?"

"I said we shouldn't be friends not that I don't want to be."

"I see, rather confusing. Tell me why we shouldn't be friends Minho?"

"It's complicated." He said and walked away. I let out a sigh at this man's confusing behaviour. He's something alright.

I've been plagued with dreams about him for months and now this.

"Hey Jisung! We were talking about going to la push beach soon. You wanna come with?"

"Uh I don't know yet. I'll have to ask Charlie and see." Eric smiled at me and I smiled back before going into my car and connecting my phone to my radio and blasting my playlist.

"Hey kiddo how's school?"

"Shit Charlie you scared me! You're usually not home this early." I half shouted as I was startled as fuck.

He chuckled. "Sorry about that, didn't mean to scare you but it's good that you're alert like this. It will keep you safe from muggers."

I chuckled at this. "Which reminds me I should get you some pepper spray."

"Charlie! I really don't need pepper spray.'

"But I'll feel better if you have it with you Jisung."

"Alright finee." Charlie is a really caring and nice guy and so far I haven't had any problems with him. It's been months since I've been here and that's the longest I've stayed with someone.

Maybe that woman was right that this time this was the place for me. A new fresh start away from everything else.
