Stranded

I felt the tide against me repetitively hitting me, waking me from my slumber. I got up, and I felt my face covered in sand then I slowly opened my eyes, and the sun brightly shone down on me. As I looked up I saw a lizard scale across the sand. I pulled myself up and stood up. The suitcase was next to me on the shore, It was very wet and had sand on it. I bellowed at the top of my voice, “HELLO”. But no one was there. I was stuck on the island. I opened the case that was next to me by undoing the buckle. I lifted it open and found a pair of spectacles, some clothes, a book, an umbrella, boots, and some swimming trunks. I closed the suitcase again and dragged it along the shore to some shade under a palm tree. I took of my soaking wet fleece and put it out to dry on a rock. I slumped down next to the palm tree and sighed. The bright sun glazed down onto my face and I watched the tide gently go in and out. The sky was cloudless and a seagull flew in the air. As I sat down, I thought about what I would do and what was going to happen to me for the rest of the time I remained here. All I knew was that I was stuck.

It was a dream for sure! Of couse this was not actually happening it was just in my head. But it just felt so real everything around me. I was awake for sure. But this can't be right, I was on the flight last night. "Oh yer" I muttered to myself in despair. I remembered I crashed. It was not a dream it was actually happening.

I walked along the beach. The bright sun beamed down at my face it was really hot, I put my hand to my throat I was very thirsty. But I couldnt find anything to drink. There was nothing around no taps or water fountains this wasn't home. I scrambled upon a tall rock about 5m tall. From here I could see it all, there was thick jungle for a few miles and then a tall peak in the middle. I squinted my eyes, eagles circled around the summit of the mountain. The island was along way across but you could see the other side just about.

On the beach there were heatwaves. My thirst was even worse I couldn't help it. "Why didn't I get a drink on the flight they were giving them away for free!" I thought to myself regretfully.
