Oneway Flight

Thirst

A few hours had past i was really thirsty but still there was nowhere where i could get a drink. Surely there was a fresh water spring somewhere or a river. But there was nothing to be found. I decided to have a quick sip of sea water. I spat it out immediately the salty taste was revolting. I was yet to find a fresh source of water.

I walked along the beach to a trunk of an old tree. It was hollow, but very dry and not damp. "This would be good for a fire I thought to myself. I decided to turn right into the shade. It was much darker under the tree canopies and you could here lots of wildlife. Birds were screeching everywhere I decided to carry on through the thick jungle. It was very humid, and damp. The leaves had droplets on them where the water had condensed.  I carried on walking until i stopped straight in my tracks. I saw a boar. I silently crept towards it. Arming myself with a sharp stick I prepared to jump out. It was closer now and I could almost grab it. I leapt out. I caught it in my grasp, but it was struggiling. I tried to hold on to it but it kept on wrigling. Slowly it realesed itself from my grasp.

A few hours had passed now and it was about to get dark, I was very hungry by now and was very eager to get something to eat. But then I saw one of the boars I slowly got up and decided to catch it. I crept over to the rock and tried to get a closer look at it, But it got up and started walking away. I tried as hard as I could to not alert it so patiently I crept up. I felt like jumping out at it and grabbing on to it but from my previous encounter I decided that this was not a great idea. Then I saw the boar go round the side of a huge boulder, I followed it around without alerting it. The boar was eating some sort of vegetation. I had obviously been eating off this vegetation for a while because there was a lot of it and many boars were also eating there. The leaves were bright green and quite big. I picked one of and bit into it.
