Chapter 1: Prologue

Y/N and Niragi had been together for 3 years. They were just like any normal couple. Niragi worked developing games and Y/n was currently in University studying Psychology. They met through a friend who had known each of them separately for 10 years, until finally introducing them to each other at a 21st birthday party. Y/n and Niragi seemed to hit it off straight away and started dating almost instantly. They were inseparable, spending every second they could together and moved in together after only 2 months.
Niragi was completely infatuated with y/n and got quite a name for himself when he would randomly turn up outside her classes to make sure there was a safe distance between her and any other men. To y/n surprise he had hit only 2 men who dared go near his y/n. He had scared the rest away with his ruthless jealously.
He was obsessed with her. He craved her every second of the day and it physically pained him to be apart from her. He was scared she would eventually leave him. Everyone else did.
Despite Niragis obvious possessiveness, y/n loved all of his flaws and quirks. She was equally captivated by him, though she would rarely show it.

As their 3rd anniversary approached Niragi had booked them in at one of the classiest restaurants in Tokyo. He had been saving every bit of money he could for the last year and half to surprise her with an engagement ring.

As the day grew darker his body shook with andreniline as he waited outside the restaurant. He had booked her for a spa day at a hotel and in her room he left a box with a note:

I can't wait to see how amazing you look in this.

Y/n smiled at the note before pulling out a gorgeous red dress.

He had texted her the details on where to meet him and as she approached, Niragi could feel his heart beating out of his chest at just how beautiful she looked.

"I knew you'd look stunning" Niragi smiled, suddenly feeling embarrassed.

Y/n leaned in and kissed him, grabbing his hand.

"What's the occasion?" She said sarcastically, giggling under he breath.

Niragi smiled and lead y/n into the restaurant, but was met with darkness.

"That's weird, there were definitely people here when I arrived" Niragi frowned looking around.

"Is this another one of your surprises?" Y/n giggled again, the sound that makes Niragis heart skip a beat.

"I wish I could pull something like this off" Niragi replied looking back towards the door. His eyes widened. "Where has everyone gone? The street was full of people a minute ago!"

They both rushed back outside, staring into the empty streets, nothing but darkness.

"Niragi, I'm scared! What's happening?!" Y/n grabbed onto Niragis arm, her voice shaking. Niragi wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer.

"I don't know... " he slowly replied. He hated seeing y/n scared. He needed to protect her.

Suddenly there was a bright light in the distance.

"Look! Something must of happened, everyone must have gone in that direction" y/n said pulling Niragis sleeve.
