Chishiya POV//

As the council meeting was almost over, I knew I had to think of a way to get Niragi to stay behind so I could get y/n alone.

"Don't forget about the missing gun, Aguni" Hatter broke my train of thought. Bingo. This should require the militants attention, at least for a little while.
I glanced back towards y/n and noticed Niragi whispering something in her ear as he reached his hand under the table in between her thighs. I noticed her face turning red as his lips made his way to hers.
I turned my head away. Any public display of affection makes me uncomfortable, but for some reason this time it made my stomach feel like it was in knots.

As everyone but the militants stood up to leave I noticed Niragi grabs y/ns hand.

"I shouldn't be long babe, make sure you're waiting in bed for me" Niragi winked towards y/n as she giggled back.

"Again?" She questioned, still giggling.

"You know it's how I like to relax after going to the games" Niragi replied, pulling her towards him for another kiss. This time it seemed longer and more passionate. Why was it making me so mad?

I made my way outside and waited for y/n, who seemed to be the last person to come out.

"Why didn't you tell Niragi I fixed your watch?" I questioned, making her jump. She quickly spun towards me and pulled me away from the door, down the corridor.

"I think we both know how he would react if he knew you did that for me" she responded.

"But you normally tell him if a guy comes any where near you, so why not me?" I questioned, staring blankly. "I've bumped into you today, stole your watch and stared at you the entire council meeting, yet you haven't said a single word about it to Niragi, why not?"

Y/n just frowned at me. "Do you want me to tell Niragi?"

"That wasn't the question. I want to know why you didn't tell him. You told him when a guy offered to buy you a drink last week, and now that guy is dead" I added.

"Maybe I'm just getting sick of all the unnecessary killings" y/n answered, beginning to walk away, but I just grabbed her arm. "Don't" she whispered quietly. "He will kill you" she added.

"He isn't here" I whispered back.

It seemed to be quiet for a while and I could hear my own heart beating.

"I need to go" y/n quickly pulled her arm away and began walking fast down the corridors, too fast for me to catch up to her without having to run. Luckily it was just on time as the militants began exiting the council room.

Niragi walked straight into me, almost knocking me over.

"Excuse you, dick" Niragi laughed to himself, walking away. One day that guy will get what's coming to him. And I'll gladly be the one to make sure that happens.

I just couldn't understand why y/n wouldn't tell Niragi about me? Did she know something I didn't? Was it because I was also a council member?

I need to figure out why she's allowing me to get away with so many things, I won't stop until I find out the truth.

I need to get closer to her whenever Niragi isn't around. And I know the exact person who can help me.
