I'm so stupid. Why did I say yes? Why did I say anytime is free. Now I am factually in front of her house unable to click a simple button. Why do I do this to myself...

It wasn't even me texting it was my sisters...they're so bold. I asked for her number but I'm not ready for this!! I haven't educated myself with a video explaining it... what do I say? How do I act. What do I DO? I ring the doorbell a bit nervous. Who am I kidding.. a bit? Urgh..

The door opens and I want to turn around and leave. I see a woman with brown straight hair. "Maybe it's her mom.." the women looks shocked. "Oh hello!" She says. "H-hi." I mutter back. Then, a girl runs down the stairs.

"Mom, he's here for me." It's Sara. Her mom looks at her and smiles and I turn red. She loves aside and Sara shows me in. She leads me to her room and I sit on her bed. She closes the door but then a guy suddenly barges in.

"Hey Sara, where's my charger?" He asks. Though instead of looking for the charger he stares at me straight in the eyes. I look down out of nervousness. Sara sighs. "You know very well it's not here. Leave." She tries to close the door on him but he pushes it and enters her room.

I fiddle with my fingers uneasily. Is he her brother? I hope so. He then turns to me. "Oh sorry I didn't see you there, what's your name?" Before I could answer he bombarded me with another question and another. What's my age, what's my name, and I was a bit embarrassed when he said why I asked for Sara's number.

I think Sara was embarrassed too because she called out another name. "Jackson!" Another guy came in the room and dragged the other guy. She then shut the door again and sighed.

"Sorry for my brother," she began. "He's...weird." I nodded. "It's fine." She sat on a chair and looked at me. I turned red. "Do you want to...practice now .. or chill."

I'm too lazy to write the whole moment where they bonded but I can say that they have a lot in common and they had a blast and instant connection. So let's just fast forward to a month later.

I run quickly to see her after looking at the sheet of the people who made the team. "Sara!" I shouted. "I did it." She looked at me and smiled. We're good friends now.

"I knew you could do it. I'm happy for you." She gave me a pat on my shoulder and left. The past month we spent our time together I fell in love with her. We spent a lot of time together. Movie nights, going out, she's met my parents I've met hers, my favorites are our study sessions.

I just never know if she feels the same. It thinks the same as me. Even though, I couldn't pursue her. My friend has a crush on her and has been trying to get her attention. I just can't help but become jealous when I see him talking to her.

I head to my locker and open it. As I take my lunch box for lunch a bit falls out.

Dear Lenny, I've written you this note to tell you I have fallen head over heels for you. The moment I met you I knew I liked you. I just don't know if you feel the same. I hope you can figure out who I am and come to me.

The note ended with an S and I couldn't help but think of Sara. I want it to be her so bad but it's probably not. I look around to see if the person might be watching me but not a lot of people look my way. I slide the note back in and head to the cafeteria to sit with my friends. (The popular guys and girls, while Sara sits on a different table.)

My friends all made the basketball team and we were happy to be cool with each other. After a small discussion about it, Travis (my friend who has a crush on Sara.) changes the conversation. "Guys. Sara, looked at me today." He then started to smile and laugh while I ignored it.

"My guy, the only thing he looking at is yo forehead that shi large." Everyone starts to laugh including me. Travis laughs to. "Aight. So that's how it is." He jokes. "I've been talking to her and I don't think she see's that I'm interested."

I laugh a little to loud and everyone looks at me. "What's so funny." He says intimidatingly. "Nothing." I say. "Just thought you'd have her snap by now." I shrugged my shoulders. Travis looks at me seriously while the rest are holding their laughs in.

"Nahh...Lenny. You jealous." Ellis says. "No!" I look away. "Wouldn't be surprised, y'all hanging out 24/7." I look at my phone. "No.." Ellis coughed. "Uh yeah. Every time we invite you somewhere you always like, 'nah I got plans with Sara.' And etc."

I blush. Maybe we do spend a lot of time together. Travis looks annoyed. "Whatever. Who cares." Ellis and Kareem laugh really hard. "Travis is jealous as fuck it's so obvious." I look at him. "I'm not jealous. It's cause you know I like her, why you always with her, it's weird."

I looked at Ellis thinking he would say something but he agreed. "I just.. she was my first friend here." He looks at me. "I get that but, y'all can't be friends just at school?" I shrugged and broke eye contact from him.

It got awkward. Kareem realizes the tension and changes the subject. He also adds the girls beside us into it. I was a bit distracted, I was looking for Sara, maybe she went to the library. "Lenny, you seem distracted." Gabby says.

"Oh I'm fine really." I get up and start to look for her. Travis stops me. "Where you goin?" I stay silent for a while. "He's going to see his bae." The others joke. "No!" I leave quickly before they ask more questions.
