The two wolves were making their way to a mysterious cave at the very edge of the territory. The forest there was very unpredictable, and many animals, not just wolves, have gone missing in the area.
"Why did we have to come here? Sticks and thorns keep getting caught in my fur!" Tiger complained
"We're here to investigate that cave, I told you this when we left." Fang growled
"But we should have brought more wolves, and..."
"If you want to complain about this, feel free to go back!" Fang barked so loud that it echoed off the dense forest. "Sorry, you're just getting on my nerves." he sighed.
"No I'm sorry, I shouldn't be complaining about this. I know it's an important mission." Tiger said.
CRACK! Both wolves spun around startled. "Sorry if I startled you." Thunder Hawk said. I couldn't help myself, you two sound like pups fighting over the first bite of prey." He started laughing at the thought and laughed even harder when he saw Tiger trying to climb the tree he was on.
"Why you little! Get down here and I'll show you what us "pups" can do!'' Tiger yelled up at the falcon.
"Will you relax, he's just a messenger." Fang said to his friend trying to calm him down. When Tiger had calmed down, Fang looked up at the falcon and said, "I'm guessing you have some information."
"Yes, I just flew over where the cave should be...'' the falcon said. Both wolves looked at each other and at the same time said, "Should be?"
"As I was saying, where the cave should be, there was just an open clearing, there was no cave! I think you were lied to." Thunder said while shifting from foot to foot on the branch he was perched on. The wolves started talking about what the falcon said, but there was something they didn't know, something Thunder Hawk didn't tell them. That something was dragons!

Back at the camp, Fang and Tiger were telling the pack what Thunder Hawk had said when Badger, the strongest and biggest wolf in the pack, burst through the undergrowth with a deer in his jaws.
"Haha, look what I caught! This was the best hunt we've had for weeks, everyone will get their fill tonight!" he said with a big grin on his face and his tail wagging. As soon as he said that four more wolves dragging two more deer walked through the undergrowth.
"There's plenty for everyone so no need to push or fight. Tonight we feast!" Fang announced and cheers went up from the whole pack.
That night when everyone feast all doubts and worries were forgotten. There joyful barks, playful yips and yaps, and happy howls all throughout the night, but they didn't know that they were being watched from the shadows. Dragons loved to watch the wolves' feasts and games, but what they liked most was listening to their legends. That night Drago was watching the wolves when Striker, pretty much the Alpha, jumped on to a large rock, so he could be seen and heard by all.
"All wolves young and old, gather below if you want to hear the legend of the dragons who once roamed the earth!" he barked. When almost all of the pack gathered to listen, he started. Most of them had heard the story, but that night when Striker got to the part where the wolves and dragons bonded, a mark on his shoulder started to glow.
Drago, who was trying to stay away from the wolves, felt something pulling him towards Striker. When he got to the center of the camp all the wolves just stood there, surprisingly no one went into a panic.
"Is this what dragons looked like so long ago? Is this what our ancestors were talking about, how wolves and dragons bond? And WHAT is a dragon doing here anyways." Striker thought to himself as he looked into the dragon's eyes. After a few minutes all the wolves were gathered around the dragon.
"Uh, hi?" Drago said shyly. "How and why are you not afraid of me? My father said you would be."
"He must be the Last Dragon!"
"There's more dragons? Where?!"
"Hey, can you breathe fire?" a small pup asked before he was carried away by his mother. More and more questions were coming and Drago was, for the first time, very confused.
