"Come on Rain, wait up! You know I can't fly as fast as you!" Jade called out to her friend.
"Not my fault you stayed up all night again. If I were you, I'd tell someone else to dragon-sit, so you can get some rest." Rain said as she slowed her pace to match her friend's. The two friends were flying to meet up with Obsidian, Jade's brother, to help him on a hunt.
By the time they got there, the sun was at its peak. The place they usually hunted at was way too flooded to use, so they had to find somewhere else to hunt. The place where they were going to hunt was at an underground cavern a scout had found.
"'Bout time. What took you so long?" Obsidian asked as the two Myss' landed.
"Oh, nothing. Just had to drag Lazy-wings over there out of her nest!" Rain exclaimed, pointing her tail at Jade.
Jade just stood there for a few moments before realizing that Rain was talking about her. "Hey, it's not my fault I got asked to dragon-sit again." she said, defending herself.
"*sigh* It doesn't matter, let's try to find something to eat, maybe we can even find something for the tribe." Obsidian said as he headed into the cave leading into the cavern. After a quick glare at each other, Rain and Jade followed him in. As they got closer Obsidian started wondering what the cavern would look like. He thought it would look like every other cavern they found, an old abandoned mineshaft, many small tunnels that look about the size of a tall human, and many small critters.
About five minutes later they arrived at an opening that looked down at the mystic place below them and all they could do was stare at it in awe. None of them spoke a word as they shared a look and flew down. Instead of being the dull, almost lifeless cavern Obsidian thought it would be, it was a large brightly lit cavern with a big, lush lake in the center. There were deer, birds, rabbits, and many other animals that lived on the surface, spread out along the cavern.
"Wow, this place is beautiful!" Jade whispered, only loud enough for the others to hear.
When they approached the animals, they didn't even spook. "Ok, I have no idea what's going on, or how this is even here, but it doesn't feel right hunting these guys." Rain stated as she looked at the peaceful environment in front of her. "Yeah" said the others.
"Might as well rest while we can. When we're done we head over to another place I found on my way over." Obsidian said while lapping at the cool lake water.
As the others settled down for a nap, Obsidian looked around at the surrounding nature. There was a really tall pine tree on the left side of the lake that almost touched the ceiling, which was at least two skyscrapers tall. Behind the pine was an open field that could easily make a good camp. There were vines and all kinds of green growth on the ceiling, some of which gave off a slight glow. On the right of the lake was a small forest of oak and pine trees. After making several trips around the cavern to map out the area he was starting to get tired, so he flew over to where his sister and her friend were to curl up and get some sleep.

From the corner of the cavern sat Dark Shadow, an outcast dragon, as he watched Rain, Jade, and Obsidian. He had followed them here on a scouting mission to find a good hunting ground. Usually his group of outcasts would, when they find a place, hunt it dry 'til there is nothing left. When he saw all he needed, he got up and flew away.
