What do you mean, Striker?" Drago asked his new partner and friend.
"I mean that we're partners, bonded by an invisible force." Striker stated.
"You mean the Moon Stone? I've heard it had some mystical powers, but have never seen it before." Drago said. Now it was Strikers turn to be confused. The two of them were at the edge of the Forbidden forest, so they could talk in private .
"Hey, where ya goin'?!" Wait for me!" said a voice from behind them.
"Nowhere Coz, just talking." Striker told Cozmo, his mate, as she ran up and nuzzled him. He nuzzled back, but when he got a curious look from Drago he asked, " What, do you not have a mate?" Drago just stood there for a few minutes, but finally shook his head "no" and walked off to give the two mates some room.
"Sorry Cozmo, Drago and I need to talk in private. We can go hunting when we get back though." Striker suggested.
"Oh, I understand." she said with a deflated look, but piped up a second later saying, "Ok, see ya then!", but as soon as she finished speaking she ran off.
While they were talking Drago decided to look around. He had never been to this part of the forest before, so he didn't know what to expect. "Hmm... wonder why it's called the Forbidden Forest," he thought. No sooner had he thought that, there was a loud crash behind him. He turned around and saw nothing, "weird, I swear I heard something." He lowered his head to sniff the ground, but got no scent.
"Hey Drago, what are ya doing?" Striker asked, walking through the bushes with his head tilted.
"Nothing, I heard something crash, but can't find anything." Drago told his partner. He seemed to understand so I decided to ask him the question I had earlier. "Hey Striker, why is this place called the Forbidden Forest?"
Striker looked thoughtful for a moment before saying, "I'm not entirely sure, but the name has been passed down from past generations. Weird things tend to happen here, the most common being disappearing animals and wolves, and sounds that can't be explained, that might be what you heard earlier." he shuddered and looked around when he finished, feeling like he was being watched.
"Hmm... ok, but I felt tremors so I don't think it was that. We can talk, but I'm gonna keep an eye out." Drago said.
"Sounds good," Striker replied.

In the shadows sat Dark Stripe, Striker's evil brother, listening to the wolf and dragon in the clearing. The dragon was saying something about the Moon Stone to the wolf. He was only paying little attention to what they were talking about, but when he heard the dragon tell the wolf that it could take them there, Dark Stripe perked up and got ready to follow them. "I wonder if I can get my paws on that power. Haha, if I can, I would be the most powerful creator alive." he thought, then growled under his breath, "No one would be able to stop me!" Dark Stripe continued to watch as the dragon and wolf tried to figure out how to get there.

"Ok, how do we get there though?" Striker asked.
"No clue, we can try flying." Drago suggested. The two partners were currently trying to figure out how to get to the Moon Stone.
"Dude, can't fly, no wings," Striker said.
"True, but I can carry you there, or you can ride on my back." Drago pointed out.
"O-ok, I guess that could work," Striker said, hesitantly, "you can carry me in your claws." Drago looked at him in surprise, not actually expecting him to agree so quickly. Drago picked him up and took flight, slowing down so Striker wasn't scared.

Down below on the forest floor Dark Stripe followed, hoping that the stories about the Moon Stone were actually true. He hoped he could gain ultimate power from the Stone. Howling in delight, he ran faster, his thrust for power giving him a burst of speed.
