???"im so sorry! I should've watched where I was going. Here let me help you"

I didn't even realize that someone was talking to me as worry filled my whole being. Picking up the Broken pieces of the expensive plates as my mind ran a marathon of thoughts. What will my boss say if I don't replace them?! Will he fire me?! I don't have the money to buy new ones! Will he under- ...
Before my thoughts could finish I felt skin touch my hand. With wide eyes I watched a hand with black polished nails and rings lay on top of my pale and slender hand.
??? "Hey you're shaking. Are you alright? I can buy new plates for you if you want to."
That's when my eyes finally drifted to the face of the person in front of me. My greenish eyes meeting orbs as blue as the ocean. He was handsome to say the least. Really dark brown hair with blue strands in them, a nostril piercing and not to mention his absolute amazing choice of clothes. I instantly retrieved my hand, not being used to feeling the touch of another person.
"No it's fine! I should've watched where I was going."
I said, not wanting to bother this stranger with my problems not wanting him to spend money because of my stupidity.
??? "Well it's kinda my fault too since I wasn't watching where I was going either."
He chuckled. This chuckle... I could've listened to it for hours especially with that beautiful smile plastered on his face that was like a comforting hot shower after an exhausting day of work. He reached out his hand, which i just stared at for a bit longer than I would've liked before taking it.
??? "I'm Cole but most people call me Colby."
...Colby? That's cute. I thought as I got up from the ground and nodded slightly.
"I'm Nightmare, don't really have a nickname."
His eyes widen and my whole being instantly filled with more anxiety. People weren't used to such a horrible name as mine. It was a curse laid upon me by my parents.
"Nightmare as in a bad dream that people have?"
His voice sounded surprised but he soon chuckled once again.
"Yup.."
Was all i could answer, my head hanging down and looking at the broken plates. My dog could probably feel my anxiety and nervousness so he came up to me and jumped upwards to get my attention. A small yet appreciating smile formed on my face as I kneeled down to pet him.
"You're dog?" There it was again, that voice that was as sweet as honey. I picked up my dog and looked at the stranger that I now new by the name Colby.
"Yup he's the reason I ran into you in the first place" I tried to chuckle but it soon died down as embarrassment filled my expression.
"I'm really sorry about that by the way..."
The words didn't come out as confident as I wanted them to. Colby just shook his head and looked at me with a sincere smile.
"It's fine! Besides how could I be mad if this adorable doggie was the reason?" He came closer to me, my heart skipping a beat as I was not used to people taking my clumsiness this lightly.
"May I pet her?" A small smile crept its way onto my face as he called my dog a her.
"Yes you may pet him" I chuckles but not out of nervousness, only because I found it funny how Colby called my dog a her. As Colby pet my dog I could see his eyes light up slightly.
"Wow he's so soft! You must take good care of him huh?" My eyes drifted to the dog in my arms, a sad smile plastered on my face.
"Well I at least try to." In that moment a sight escaped my lips that sounded genuinely sad. Colby frowned slightly, putting a hand on my shoulder which made my head snap up with wide eyes.
"Hey I bet you're doing an amazing job at taking care of him alright? He's really lucky to have someone like you as his owner." Those words... words that no one ever said to be before. I couldn't help but smile, just as I was about to answer Colby looked at my knee.
"You're bleeding. Do you need a bandage or maybe a plaster?" Surprised I looked at my bleeding knee, probably injured from the fall which I didn't realize due to the Adrenalin rushing through my veins.
"I'm fine. It's only a bit of blood, nothing I couldn't handle" I replied while shaking my head.
