Darric Silva Ronyn (Picture Above):

I am Alpha Darric Silva Ronyn of the Silver-Shadow Pack and Head Alpha of the West Coast. The title of Alpha was mine by birth, but I fought for the title of West Coast Alpha. The title and power was once my grandfather's. As soon as my father was named Alpha, Alpha Lupas Gadan of the Eves-Night Pack challenged him for the Title of HAWC. My father lost the challenge and got nearly killed in the process. We lost few of our pack members, but we lost the dignity that the Ronyn line carried. My father passed away 4 years go on my 18th birthday. As soon as I was made Alpha, I challenged Lupas for the title. I won and undid the shadow of loss left by my dad, but unfortunately Lupas didn't recover from the injuries I left on him. His son Wolsyn Gadan took over and sworn to take revenge on me and my pack. By now I had tripled the size of my pack and it was still expanding. He knew better than to strike now. I have heard rumors that he is out scouting for allies. My mother, now the retired Luna, acted as my counselor. She and my father lead us into many wars and her voice meant the most to me. The one thing I've understood from my parents was the bond of mates was important for nurturing a well-established pack. The Luna and Alpha together was the road to success. I am still yet to find my mate and I just wish her to be a warrior wolf like my mother had been, leading the she-wolves into battle. With an impending war with Wolsyn, I need her now more than ever.

I was planning a tour with a few of my top warriors to go to nearby packs for two reasons: to make sure they were happy siding with our pack, and to improve the chances of finding a mates for myself. We were leaving in another hour but my Beta was nowhere to be found. I stormed into the library in the pack house which was filled with smooching sounds. "You, get out!" I barked at the girl who was sitting on my Beta's lap. He still held onto her and she looked stuck between the two of us. "Mace you can suck face after I leave." I rose my voice which sent the girl scattering out of the room and Mace stood up polished as he could.

"Yes Alpha Darric?" he pursed his lips, voice full of playful sarcasm before breaking into his goofy grin. I just stared back, having grown immune to his infectious personality.

"Please round up those that are coming with me here in the next thirty minutes." I gave him the command and left for my room. I quickly splashed water in my face and took a moment to gather myself. I stared at myself in the mirror trimming my beard. 'I want to meet her,'' my eyes that were usually hazel glowed as I let my wolf talk to me. 'As do I ' I responded to him and continued to gather last minute things.

A week later...

Three packs done three more to go. We found ourselves outside the Dawn-Riser Pack territory, the Alpha Hunter greeted us at the border and we ran in together to their pack house. They were a medium sized pack and had enough room to accommodate all 10 of us overnight. Initially there had been only eight of us, but two of the warriors were lucky to find their mates. We would dine with this pack tonight and leave in the morning.

I was introduced to a couple of females, one of them was called Olivia, a very talkative red-head, and as soon as I saw her my wolf snickered 'next' which caused me to smile outwardly. I caught the girl blush misunderstanding my smile as being meant for her. I excused myself to the bathroom leaving the girl to meet the rest of my pack.

As I came out of the bathroom, I caught sight of a girl leaving the dining room that I had been in earlier. I didn't remember meeting her and turned the corner following her into the kitchen. I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand, as I stared at the back of her head. I saw a baby-faced boy pulling her into him for a kiss. She was someone who was already mated, and I felt like an intruder. As I started to turn away the boy spoke up. "Alpha, I don't think we've met yet..." I turned around to look at the boy and the girl whose face was now visible. "I'm Marc the Alpha's brot..." I tuned him out as I studied the girl. 'It's her' my wolf hooted and before I knew it, I had crossed the kitchen in a huge stride and my fist connected with the boy's face. I could feel his bone crackle as I hooked his jaw.

My mate stared at me in fear as I held him by his neck, "Never touch her again!" To make sure I made my point I gave a lower jab to his gut and watched him slide to the floor. I walked over to her taking her face in my hand. I felt the electricity of touching flesh with her. Her eyes felt like home full of warmth and her hair a rich ravine casting my in it's net. Her lips so full of... that boy. Anger flashed through me yet again and I stared at the boy on the ground. He must've realized what was happening, he was busy gathering himself together. 'Make her ours!' my wolf howled, and I ignored him. "Your name?" I whispered to her.

She responded with shakiness in her voice, "Freedom, wh-- why'd you hit him?" I stared at her blankly. "You are mine." I said firmly and pulled her closer to me, inhaling her scent. She was mixture lavender and morning dew, so clean and alluring all at once. She still stared at me confused. "Mates," I said as she left me feeling confused. Did she not feel it?
