"Female get on my back I will take you to my home. And you too, I will leave you at the entrance of the village and you can find a mate" Parker said looking at me frowning.
She got onto Parker's back along with Bai Qingqing. "What's your name? Where are you from?" Bai Qing Qing asked her. "I am Lin Ai, I am from the same place as you."
She looked at Lin Ai with expecting eyes and Lin Ai knew what she was thinking "Sorry, but neither I don't know the way back home nor do I want to go back to that place." Lin Ai broke Bai Qingqing's fantasy.
'Just because she wants to go home doesn't mean other does too, not everyone has a family like her. She should at least ask other's opinions before making her plans.' she thought
They reached the entrance and Parker threw Lin Ai off him and left for his home before Bai Qingqing could protest. "Ouch! Does someone throw a girl like this? Heartless creature." she muttered.
She walked into the village along the lake to see if she could find Curtis's cave. She found a cave that matched the description and entered it. There was no one in there and she was hungry.
Lin Ai decided to fill her stomach before searching. She collected some dry branches put on a fire and sat near it. She opened her bag to take some snacks to eat when she noticed there was something different with her bag.
It has more clothes and shoes than she packed in, some normal and some with animal prints and a complete set of daily stuff and many snacks. Was this a sign to tell her that she would stay here and not return?
She gave up thinking over it and went with the flow. She puts everything inside the bag and walks deep inside to find Mr.Snake. As she walked into the cave she was disturbed by an intensely damp stench, like the smell in a fish basket, but darker and colder.
The stench didn't smell rotten like dead fish, but there was an earthy smell, when she turned around to leave, she noticed a stack of cloth lying over a rock. Reaching out to feel it, the fabric felt cold and soft to the touch, like silk.
The surface was uneven as if there were prints on it. Lin Ai rubbed it and found that the fabric was quite resilient, she had a feeling this fabric wasn't silk as it didn't snag as easily.
She carried it near the fire to have a proper look at it, although it felt soft to the touch, it had quite a substantial weight—like it was laden with lead. After struggling to move it near the fire only then that she get a proper look at the cloth in her hands.

It was red and flawless, covered with dense scale-like prints all over which explained the uneven texture she had felt earlier. She knows this skin. It was the same as Mr.Snake's tail. So Curtis was indeed her Mr.Snake.
Lin Ai thought with tears in her eyes. Even though she stayed with him only for a day she liked him a lot. He was the only person after her orphanage granny who treated her with kindness without asking anything back.
