The Rider's Awakening

To present day in Jaune's P.O.V

After I got up from a nap, I was changing into my blue jeans, black shoes, dark blue shirt, and brown leather jacket. I then walked downstairs to see Yang waiting for me.

Jaune: "Hey Yang, you ready to go?

Yang: "You bet I am, step-bro." ('Yes! Now is my chance to be alone with Jaune, I have to admit, he has grown up more handsome than expected.')

Tai: "Alright, kids, be safe out there, ok?"

Jaune: "Ok, sure thing Tai."

Ruby: "Can you bring me any suvenior while you're at it, please?"

Jaune: "Sure thing, Ruby. Heck, I might even bring some cookies."

Ruby: "Cookies?! Aw, you're the best, Jaune!" ('I'm so jealous that Yang gets to be alone with Jaune. She better not try anything funny.')

Ruby then hugged Jaune, and he hugged back as he ruffled her hair, and she let's go, pouting as Tai, Yang, and Qrow start laughing about it.

Qrow: "Heh, you're just like Crash, kid, always so mischievous but yet so kind."

Yang: "And handsome."

Jaune: "What was that?"

Yang: "Nothing, nothing."

Jaune: "Anyway, thanks. I just try to do my best around here like Summer did for us... I would want to do my best at trying to provide for the family."

Tai: "Summer would be proud to see you grow into a strong young man that's always helping out."

Minutes later, Yang and Jaune mount Bumblebee and drive to Vale. They explore around a bit while Jaune just stares around the city, and soon then, they park at the cemetery. They both unmounted Bumblebee and walked around the junkyard, while Jaune was wondering why they were here.

Jaune: "Um, Yang, why are we here exactly?"

Yang: "Because there's been a mysterious rumor going on around Vale, that there's something always haunting the cemetery."

Jaune: "Like the rumor about the Ghost of Old Man Mcgee?"

Yang: "Yup, that's the one."

Jaune: "Oh....ok."

We walked around the graveyard. It had an eerie presence around it with a fog that could send chills down someone's spine. I just knew that we'd be in trouble if the others back home knew about this.

Jaune: "Yang, I'm dead if Tai or Qrow found about you brought me here tonight."

Yang: "Chill out, Jaune. I'm not going to tell them. Anyway, some maniac will probably disembowel us long before Dad or Uncle Qrow could scold us."

Jaune: "Don't even kid around like that. You know the reputation this place has ever since Signal Academy. There has been more than just Old Man Mcgee's Ghost. But there have been murders and child abductions. There have been weird religious cults that have sacrificed dogs and cats, and who knows what else is there?"

Yang: "Oh, you read too much, Stephen King, step-bro. Besides, you promised me that you'd take me to see Houdini's gravesite tomorrow night, and you're not backing out. Besides, I want to get some pictures of those alleged psychics trying to make contact with him from the other side. You just need to chill out, ok?"
