NOLEE's POV
I grabbed my things and made my way out the door. I'm meeting Quinn and his family for dinner tonight, and tomorrow we're going to their game.

We're going to a relatively upscale restaurant in Newark so I decided I would wear one of my new handmade dresses, wanting to dress up for the occasion. I climbed in my Uber and decided to post the pictures the girls had taken of me.

The Uber dropped me off outside of a high-rise building, where Quinn said Jack and Luke live. I shot him a quick text letting him know I'm here and I walked into the lobby.

"Nolee!" I heard Jack say, causing me to look up.

"Hey Jack." I smiled, walking up to him and giving him a hug.

"How've you been? I wish I could come up to the city more often but I'm just so busy." He sighed, hugging me back.

"All good! But let me know if you have anytime between a skate and the game and we could grab coffee." I smiled, following him towards the elevator.

"Quinn's on his way, his shower wasn't working so he had to go use Petey's. But he'll be here soon, so I told him I'd come get you." Jack explained letting me into the elevator first.

"That sucks." I laughed as the elevator started moving.

"Do you get followed by the paparazzi a lot?" Jack asked me.

"I've never been followed by them before, at least I don't think I've been." I said confused. "Why?"

"Maybe it was just a fan, but I thought I saw someone with a camera across the street when you walked in." Jack explained, exiting the elevator.

"Interesting." I spoke, following him down the hall.

"Have you met Luke?" Jack asked me, opening his door.

"Yeah I met him over the summer." I laughed. "But you were too drunk to remember I was there."

"Oh right." Jack rolled his eyes.

"Hey Nolee." Luke waved from his spot on the couch. Only then did I notice their parents were already here, along with Elle, Luke's girlfriend.

"Nolee!" Elle smiled, walking over to me and wrapping me in a tight hug. "This is absolutely beautiful, I just saw your post."

"Oh thank you!" I smiled, smoothing my hands over the dress.

"Nolee these are our parents." Jack said, introducing me.

"It's nice to meet you." I said, accepting a hug from their dad. I moved on to give Mrs. Hughes a hug.

"Call us Ellen and Jim, none of this Mr. and Mrs. Hughes stuff, makes us feel old." She smiled, pulling me in tight.

"Did you make this? Quinn talks all about how you design clothing." Ellen said, feeling the fabric on my arm.

"Yes I designed it and most of it is hand stitched to fit me better." I replied.

"Amazing." She smiled. "Come sit, I assume Jack told you Quinn's running late?"

"Yes he told me." I answered, taking a seat on the couch next to Elle.

"Red or white Nol?" Jack asked, holding up two expensive looking glasses of wine.

"White please." I smiled, turning back to the group.

"What are you doing during the day tomorrow?" Elle asked me, sipping her wine.

"I don't have any plans, you should come over, we can go shopping." I smiled, accepting the wine from Jack.

"That would be so fun!" Elle smiled at me.

Just then the door opened, reveling Quinn, looking ever so handsome in a collared shirt and dress pants, holding a coat and, of course, flowers in his arms.

"Hey." Jack smiled, giving his brother a hug.

"Hey guys." Quinn smiled, looking around the room. He walked over and slapped Luke on the back before wrapping an arm around Elle in a hug. He smirked at me as he passed, fist bumping his dad and placing a kiss on Ellen's cheek.

"Hey No." He smiled, grabbing my hand and wrapping his other around my back.

"Hey." I smiled, looking up to him as he pressed his lips to mine. I smiled, watching him pull away.

"These are for you." He smiled, handing me the flowers.

"Here." Jack said, handing Quinn a glass of red wine.

"You're such a great host." Luke said. "Not to me though."

"Cuz you live here." Jack said, sitting on a chair across from us. Quinn joined me on the couch, his hand casually resting on my thigh.

Jack and Luke started arguing, taking away the attention of everyone else. I took the opportunity to talk to Quinn.

"How was the flight?" I asked, referring to their early flight out of Saint Louis.

"It was good. Got my sleep in since we landed and went right to the rink." He replied, sipping his wine.

"Thats good." I smiled, placing my hand on top of his, interlocking our fingers.

"Quinn I'm going to ask you the age old question here, how'd you manage to pull Nol?" Jack smirked.

"One day I'm going to be asking you this." Quinn answered, rolling his eyes dramatically.

"Whatever." Jack sighed.

"Quinn don't be like that." Ellen scolded.

"What? It's annoying, he asks me every other day." Quinn said to his mom. Ellen sent him a pointed look, telling me there was something else going on. I brushed it off but reminded myself to ask Quinn about it later.

"But how did you pull her?" Luke joked.

"I could ask you the same thing." Quinn said, reaching behind me and Elle to slap Luke in the back of his head.

"Thats enough. It's seven so we should start walking over." Ellen told us, standing.
