NOLEE's POV
I grunted as I tried and failed to carry the last bin of fabric up the front steps. I had left the biggest for last hoping Quinn would be back in time to help me carry it into my studio, but he's still not back. Not that I can complain, his practice ended 15 minutes ago.Tonight we're hosting a house warming party. The whole team is coming and most of them are bringing their family. Then tomorrow we're going to adopt a dog.
I'm honestly so excited. We moved in a week ago and ever since then everything has been perfect. We don't have everything put in place and I definitely need to go buy some decor, but other than that we're home.
We have a small townhouse right in between the practice rink and the arena. We're lucky enough to have a small front and back yard with free space and a patio. It's fenced in and we have a garage.
But the part I'm most excited about is the three bedrooms. We have our own bedroom, I have a studio to work in from home, and we also have an extra room. Not that we've discussed the purpose of that room, but I can imagine what's it's for. It could be the baby fever from Mika now being three months pregnant, or me romanticizing our future, but I can be excited.
The season is now in full swing, making life much more hectic, but also much more exciting. I feel kinda bad for Quinn since we moved during the third week of the season, I also think he feels bad since I've been doing most of the work, but I've been having fun with this. He's been making fun of me because the living room has been changed every time he's come back from a road trip. But what can I say, Lex and I love doing it and she brings over Dawson and Delilah so we have fun.
"Need some help?" Quinn asked when he walked out the door from our garage into the yard.
"Yes please." I smiled from my position on the steps. "It's a little heavier than I thought."
"Alright let me get it." He said, reaching out and pulling me to my feet. "And these are for you." He said, handing me a coffee and a flower bouquet.
"Thank you." I smiled, leaning in to place a kiss on his forehead then his lips. He smiled at me then picked up the box with ease, following me inside and bringing the box into the downstairs bedroom, aka my studio.
"These will be perfect for tonight." I told Quinn when he returned to the kitchen.
"Tonight?" He asked.
"Yeah, the party?" I told him. "Everyone's coming over at five."
"Oh shit I forgot." He groaned.
"Babe you have so much time." I told him, chuckling.
"Well yeah but I need to clean up the back garden." He ran his hand through his hair.
"I'll come help you." I said, starting to walk towards the back door.
"You've probably been cleaning all day No." He sighed. "You should relax."
"Well I wanna spend some time with you." I smiled, taking his hand and leading him outside.
"Alright." He smiled, following me.
We spent the next hour stringing lights in our backyard that we wanted to keep up all year round. Then we swept off the small porch before blowing the fallen leaves and cleaning them up.
"Looks perfect." I smiled, wrapping my arms around his torso. He pulled me close and smiled down at me.
"I can't believe we have a house." Quinn spoke, looking around.
"It's crazy isn't it?" I asked him.
"Yeah. I still can believe you agreed to move in with me." Quinn laughed.
