Chapter One

HELLO AND WELCOME! Thank you for being here for a fresh, new story about Jemily. I'm kind of nervous to start a new story because we know how the last one went, I deleted it. HAHA. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter and how I've written it.

The chapters of this story will be lengthy because I will be explaining in more details to capture what's actually going on. So, bear with me.

Setting: Prentiss Household

Hi, my name is Emily Prentiss. I'm going to walk you through my life for a minute before we get started.

Growing up, I've always been sort of an eye candy. Athletic, fashionable, loving, and feisty. Moving state to state, country to country, I've learned to hold my own. I'm very intelligent and quiet. I tend to stay to myself most days unless you catch me on a good day. I love to work and take care of my family. I'm very passionate about what I do. I'm assuming you want to know what I do? Well, I'm a lawyer. One of the very best. I'm top of my company and currently about to sign a new contract to be President of that company. I've been doing this same job for about 15 years now.

Now, let's get this started and see how my day is going to go.

"Good morning" I said as I walked into the kitchen that morning. My beautiful wife, Jennifer, was currently making breakfast; pancakes, bacon, and eggs. My two munchkins, Harper and Kinsley, are at the table giggling to one another. I give Jennifer a kiss first then head over to them.

"Hey girls, what are you guys giggling about?" I kiss them both on the head before having a seat at the table.

"We are talking about our costumes!! Mommy said that we get to go pick them out today!" Harper said practically bouncing in her seat. She reminds me of Jennifer during the holidays, always ready to celebrate.

"Yeah! We get candy!" Kinsley said. Then there's my little mini me, always excited about sweets, I'm surprised she's never had a cavity.

"That's right! Halloween, how could I forget? Hmm, let me guess, you girls are going to be ghost?" Harper rolled her eyes and it took everything in me not to laugh.

"Ugh, no momma! We are going to be fairies! The prettiest ones there are! Ghost are so boring!"

"Silly me" Jennifer served us breakfast as we listened to the girls talk and rave about being able to dress up for school. They're in a new school this fall since we moved to a bigger house. I surprised Jennifer with it when I found out about my promotion. I thought the girls would have a hard time adjusting but they're just like me and shrugged it off and now they're living their best lives. They even got invited to a Halloween party in the neighborhood by this little girl yesterday.

"Okay girls! Go grab your things so I can take you to school. Make sure to give momma a big hug and kiss" They both rushed over to where I was sitting, pouncing on me.

"You girls have a good day at school. Behave, learn and I'll see you later tonight okay? I love you both so much"

"Ok momma, remember you gotta be home to see our costumes okay?" Harper said.
