"It was hilarious guys." Anna laughed, recounting her afternoon to her friends as they headed over to Emma's house.
"Did you really tell Josh that Emma was a bedwetter?" Abby asked.
"Not in those words, exactly. But I heavily insinuated it. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up."
"You're so diabolical." Jill commented. "But you know you're going to have to tell him the truth."
"Am I? I don't see the problem with letting him believe it. Besides, after tonight, I don't think it'll be a lie."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Abby jumped back in.
"All I'm saying is that Emma's mom bought a pack pretty pink pull-ups and I think it's our responsibility to make sure Emma wears them." Anna replied. "We always play truth or dare, right? And Emma is always too chicken to do truth because god forbid any of us know anything embarrassing about her."
"So, what are you saying?" Claire chimed in. "You're going to dare her to put on one of her sister's pull-ups?"
"Not exactly." Anna smiled.
The group of girls arrived at the group leader's house and knocked on the door. Emma's mother greeted them as usual and sent them upstairs to the host's room. They unloaded their gear, began swapping gossip, telling jokes, and doing all their usual slumber party antics. After about an hour of scrolling through their phones and sharing TikToks with each other, Jill got up from the bed and walked over to her duffle.
"What are you doing?" Asked Emma.
"I thought maybe since this is our last hoorah before college, we could make it a little more interesting." Jill said, pulling a bottle from her bag.
"Is that what I think it is?" Claire asked in shock.
"Yep." Jill replied. "I swiped it from my dad's liquor cabinet."
"Whiskey?" Emma cried. "Gross."
"Oh come on Emma, don't be such a spaz." Anna said, grabbing the bottle from her friend and taking a sip.
"I'm not a spaz." Emma objected. "Give it to me." She reached out for the drink as Anna handed it to her. She took her shot, made a face of disgust, and passed it on.
All the girls laughed and carried on as each took turns taking swigs of the brown liquor. They were careful to pace themselves, but after several hours, each of them were fairly buzzed. So buzzed, in fact, they couldn't properly keep track of the uno game they were attempting to play.
"Ok guys. This is ridiculous." Anna said, throwing down a green 2. "I think it's time for some truth or dare. Emma you go first. Truth or dare?"
Emma laid her cards down on the floor and acted like she was considering her options when she knew full well she was going to pick dare as always.
"Okay... dare." She said. "But make it fast. I have to go pee."
Anna smiled.
"I don't think that'll be necessary." She said.
Emma looked confused. She was too tipsy to even try and calculate what her friend meant. But, of course, Anna had no problem spelling it out for her. She had played right into her hand.
"Pee your pants."
