Kingdom Of The Lamented.

Chapter #1: Nightmare Befalls.

Midnight struck inside of the Showgrounds. Most parts of the castle were filled with pure silence, with the exception of a few snores that came from some of the crew's members. Peace seemed to rule around the area, but not for long.

Barely a few minutes after the clock had hit midnight, a loud scream was heard, which managed to wake up a total of three people. SMG4, Tari and Meggy. They all looked at each other in disbelief, wondering if they had heard the same thing. It was obvious that they did.

"Who's screaming at such an hour? I thought everyone around here would be asleep by now?" --Spoke the meme guardian in confusion, in order to break the awkward silence that had formed.

"I'm not really sure, but.. we should probably go find the source of the scream. Just to check if anything has happened to anyone, you know?" --Replied the human-formerly-inkling.

The shy, blue haired girl didn't say a single word, but she nodded in order to let the other two know she was listening to them. The trio quickly got up from their respective beds and went outside, determined to find the source of the noise, but unaware of the horrifying discovery they were about to find.

Silence suddenly began to fill the area again, as none of them had a single word to say to each other. The gentle sounds of their footsteps and their silent breaths were the only things that could be heard in the dark night, along with some rustling caused by the animals nearby. Walking around the exterior of the castle without getting lucky, nothing out of the ordinary could be seen. Until that changed, as one of the members noticed a slight detail..

"Uhm, guys? Is that over there.. blood..?" --Whispered with a fearful tone the duck lover, as she pointed at a trail of blood that led deep into the forest area of The Showgrounds.

Meggy and SMG4's eyes widened, as both of their gazes were now staring at the trail in shock.

"Wait a minute, blood..? Dear god, this is worse than I imagined. We've got to keep moving, and fast. There's no time to waste, something's clearly not right here." --Responded SMG4, sounding slightly worried after catching a glimpse of the red liquid.

Without thinking twice, they decided to follow the bloody path, now more worried than ever. The trio eventually saw that the path ended up leading to a very specific tree.. and the sight that ended up appearing in front of their eyes would forever leave them scarred, for the rest of their lives. All the individuals of the group froze with shock, as they didn't know how to react, let alone what to do.
