Hayoung's POV

I let out a sigh as I realized I worked over time. Such busy and hectic work, I need a break. I was supposed to leave at 18:00, but it is now 22:00. The streets are empty. I guess I have to walk on the way home... I'm so tired.

I finished my paper work before fixing my bag. My friend, Jiwon, leaned over to me and asked something.

"Unnie, you're already done?" She asked surprisingly. I chuckled to that.

"Yep! I'm so tired." I faked wiping a sweat on my forehead. She laughed at me and punched my shoulder. Ouch!

"Anyways, I have to go now." I bid her a good bye. Wishing her good luck too. I picked up my bag and went to the elevator. Only a few cars are passing by. The boulevard, looking lonesome.

Buildings and stores are already closed. Except for some, convenience stores to be precise. I came inside the nearest convenience store and bought food as I was hungry. I picked up the buldak cup noodles, kimbap and banana milk. I approached the cashier and paid for it.

I went to the table and put my things there. I brought my cup noodles and headed over to the hot water dispenser. I came back to my seat and waited for the noodles to cook. A few minutes later and it's done. I threw out the water, added the sauces and ate it.

I sure did eat a delicious meal. I picked up my bag and exited the store. I shivered at the cold, frigid temperature. It's not so usual that I stay up so late. I went on ahead to my apartment.

As I was walking, I brought out my phone. I opened the camera app, trying to take a selfie. I saw a person behind me. They looked suspicious. I started to walk faster as I was scared. My heart is shaking...

The next thing I knew was that I got pulled into a dark alley.

"MHMP– Let me go!" I whispered.

"There's someone following us. Keep quiet." The person covered my mouth and held my hand. I guess she's afraid too.

I saw the person, carrying a knife. So it is true, there is someone following us. It's a good thing they didn't see us. The person carrying the knife passed us. We both sighed as we were relieved. We're safe.

"Thanks for saving me." I whispered to her softly. She caressed my hand and patted my shoulder in reply. That was... comforting. I'm glad we're out of danger. That was so scary.

"Do you still feel unsafe?" She asked. I guess I do. I'm still frightened after what happened. It was so traumatizing. I wish to not experience it again. It's great that this lady saved us both...

I answered, "Yes, I do still feel unsafe."

"Can I escort you home?"

"Oh, yes please."

We checked if the person who was armed was gone. And thankfully, they're gone. What a scary experience... We left the dark alley and went on ahead to go home. Well... She's escorting me home. I feel safe around her.

"So, what's your name?" I tried to do small talk.

"Saerom. Lee Saerom." The girl beside me said.

"Nice to meet you, Saerom." I smiled at her.

"My name is Song Hayoung." Still smiling. I looked at Saerom, she's so pretty... Why didn't I notice that earlier? A pretty girl saved me. I'm honored and blushed a little bit. Since she is beside me, I smelled her perfume. It smells good... Am I falling in love?

We're almost at my apartment. Our footsteps, going faster. Our journey is coming to an end. I don't want her to just be a stranger who saved me. I asked for her number. She surprisingly gave it to me. I'm so lucky.
