The year is finally ending. Shuhua was grateful that the year is ending, together with Yuqi. Both of them, together. Shuhua was not the type to express her feelings that easily. This midnight, on New Year's eve, she's going to confess her feelings to Yuqi. Despite dating for months now, she refused the idea of sharing her thoughts with her. Yuqi thought she's a tsundere.

Shuhua entered the room full of memories with Yuqi. She smiles at the thought of it, getting lost by the happy memories. She placed her bag on the table and sat next to her Yuqi.

"Yuqi, wake up." She tapped the sleeping girl's shoulder.

She kissed the girl's temple, "Wake up now, my love."

She tried waking her up, only to get pulled into a cuddle.

"Five more minutes." Yuqi groaned.

"Ah! What- Fine..." Shuhua locked Yuqi's waist with her arms and buried her face into the crook of her neck. Getting cuddly and all. Due to the warmth, Shuhua fell asleep.

Several minutes later, Yuqi finally woke up. She rubbed her eyes and noticed a sleeping goddess next to her. She smiled and tucked the girl's hair behind her hair. She cups her left cheek and rubs it with her thumbs. Admiring her, as always. She searched for her phone, the time now is 6:30. They are supposed to leave at 7:00.

"Shu, wake up." Showering her with kisses. It makes Shuhua's heart flutter everytime.

She pats her forearm, "Rise and shine, my dear."

Shuhua then woke up, rubbing her eyes after. She smiles unconsciously at the endearment Yuqi gave her. Yuqi laughed at her and Shuhua thought even her laugh is beautiful. Everything about her is beautiful, she thought. She looks at her in trance.

"What time is it?" Shuhua asked.

"It's currently 6:30." Yuqi answered as she looked at her phone.

"Get ready for our date, baby." Shuhua said as she was dressed already.

"Okay!"

Couple of minutes later and Yuqi is now ready for their date. They left the house and went inside Shuhua's car. She turned on the engine and they drove to a restaurant. Shuhua decided to pay for everything, as Yuqi paid everything from their recent date. They really don't mind sacrificing their wallets for each other. They entered the fancy restaurant and went to the table Shuhua reserved earlier.

"What do you want to eat?" Shuhua asked as she sat down on the chair.

"Can we order pasta?" The Chinese girl requested.

"Anything you want." The Taiwanese girl said with an eye smile.

They called the waiter and ordered a couple of food. Such as appetizers, main course and desserts. They are expecting those to be very delicious, given that this is a 5-star restaurant. While waiting, Yuqi was just telling stories, and Shuhua listening to her lovingly. Soon enough, the appetizers arrived.

"How is it?" Shuhua uttered while staring at her.

Yuqi's eyes brightened, "This is so good!"

Shuhua was overjoyed to hear that, she decides to dig in. Moaning to the sizzling hot food. They started to enjoy the food and ate more. Not that much to fill their stomachs though. The main course has finally arrived. They continued to eat more, enough to get them full.

"Are you going to eat the ice cream, Shu?" Yuqi asked.

Shuhua is unfortunately full now, so she gives it some thought if she should eat more. "Let's just share the ice cream, Yuqi." She suggested.

"Okay." Yuqi mumbled.

After eating the ice cream, Shuhua paid for the bill afterwards. As they stood up, Yuqi grabbed Shuhua's hand and dragged her, leaving the restaurant. Yuqi has been wanting to go to an arcade. She is obviously excited.

"Shuhua! Look! A claw machine." Yuqi pointed at the machine. She grabbed her hand and drags her again. The excited girl is not calming down.

"Win this for me!" A sudden request from the girl. Shuhua gulped as she knows these kinds of machines are rigged, yet she tried to win the teddy bear. Luckily, she got it. She then gave it to the cute squealing girl.

"Thank you, Shu! You're the best." Shuhua blushed to the words that are coming out of the girl's mouth.

"Like I said, anything for you." Shuhua reassures her. Honestly, that made Yuqi's cheeks heat up.

Yuqi dragged her to the basketball arcade machine. She immediately plays it. Shuhua brought out her phone and took pictures of her, smiling at it. Not to mention, also giggling. Yuqi invited her to play also, of course she tried. It turns out she's good at shooting the hoops. It made Yuqi's mouth hang open.

"W-What, you're so good!" She yelled.

"Huh? I did bad." Shuhua, getting shy.

"Who are you fooling? You were great!" Yuqi hit her shoulder, which made the younger whine.

Both of them continued to try out a couple of games, before their load runs out. They won lots of prizes, giving those to each other. They played for an hour. Shuhua gave Yuqi a giraffe plushy, and Yuqi gave Shuhua a wolf plushy. As they were done playing, they went to a nearby park. They got hungry again after playing.

"Yuqi, wanna try this rice cake?" Shuhua said as she was chewing some of it. Tasting the flavorful food.

"Sure." Yuqi looked at her and she fed her. Chewing the hot rice cake.

"This tastes so good!" She exclaimed. Shuhua giggled.

It is now 11:50. The year is nearly ending. Shuhua brought Yuqi to a place where there is crowded people. Apparently, there was a band performing there. It is Yuqi's favorite band. The girl's face lit up when she saw her favorite band up on stage. She did little jumps and squealed.

"Oh my god! My favorite band!" She yelled. Shuhua again giggled. She already thinks this date is worth it. It is worth to make Yuqi happy. She stared at the vibrant street lamps. Both of them are now thrilled to listen to the band's performance. As the band sing, they sway their hands, enjoying the song. 11:58, Shuhua thinks she should tell Yuqi everything she felt for her.

"Hey, Yuqi." Shuhua called her.

Yuqi turned around and glanced at her looking worried "Yes?"

"Listen, I'm glad to be with you. Yet there are still something that I haven't expressed to you." She spoke up nervously. "I'm not the type to open up, but you deserve to know what I've felt towards you. I really love you, so much. You have made me happy this year." She said, reminiscing those moments.

"You lit up my world, Yuqi. No words can express my gratitude towards you. I love you from the bottom of my heart." Shuhua sincerely confessed, making Yuqi speechless. She then pulled her into a warm embrace. The Beijing puppy pats her back, being grateful towards her also.

Yuqi then pulled her into a kiss. The fireworks setting off, it's finally New Year. They kissed for some time, and Shuhua pulled away.

Shuhua beamed to her, "Happy New Year, my love."

"Happy New Year. I love you." Reciprocating the smile.

"I love you too, until forevermore."
