Yena's POV
Another day of school, I'm so tired. I was overthinking last night, so I slept late. I have been friends with Yuri for a while now and I took a liking towards her. I tried to confess a couple of times, but I keep on running away. I'm too afraid to say the things I felt towards her.
I stood up and made my bed. I went straight to the bathroom to shower. Even showering, I keep on overthinking. I will be seeing her again later. After showering, I rushed to wear my uniform. Patting any dust on it, fixing my tie and blazer. Of course I want to look good in front of her! But not that good looking as Yuri, she's very beautiful.
I headed downstairs to eat breakfast. I grabbed my phone to check the time, it was still early. So I took my time to eat and to get ready to walk to school. Few minutes passed and I'm already done eating. I wore my backpack and left the house. I saw Chaewon walking by the street and ran up to her.
"Morning, Chaewon." I greeted her.
She wondered where my voice came from. She looked at her side and was surprised to see me, I only flashed a smile to her.
"Good morning." She said in a croaky voice.
I became concerned, so I asked her, "Is your voice okay?"
"I went to a karaoke bar with Minju, and things went out of control..." I only chuckled to that.
We have finally arrived to school and went on ahead to our classroom. I noticed that Yuri's already sitting on her seat, she's surprisingly early. My seat is at the back, while Yuri's seat is at the front. She was on the opposite row, where I could stare at her freely.
One habit of mine is just staring at her when the class is boring. Or when we are waiting for the teacher, which explains the situation now. She has never caught me staring at her. And when I try to tell what I feel, someone has to cut me off. Although I keep running away, there are some times that I try to confess. I don't want to miss my chance.
The teacher then entered the room. All of us immediately went quiet. His aura scares me every time. I could only gulp. The sound of him dropping the books on top of the desk was loud. Most of us flinched at it, while he eyes at us vigilantly.
"Now, class." He spoke.
"Can anyone answer the question 1 in page 15 on your math book?" He walked while looking each of the rows.
"No one?" He made his way to our row, and looked at me.
"You, Miss Choi." I could feel all of their eyes on me, which pressured me more. Especially Yuri who's looking me. I stood up from my seat and cleared my throat.
I answered, "280...?"
"Are you sure, Miss Choi? If you are wrong, I will subtract your grade." His dark voice escaped his mouth, I wonder why he despises me and this class.
"I-I'm sure, Sir Kang." Myself stuttered.
"You are correct, plus 5 on your final grade. Well done." Phew! That relieved me.
I sat back at my seat while saying, "Thank you, Sir."
"Nice job, Choi!" Hyewon, my friend, whisper-yelled at me. I only smiled and nod to her.
I hope I impressed Yuri there. No one dared to answer, except the people who the teacher called. Most of them are right anyways so that didn't anger him. And if someone does, a dragon in him starts forming and scolds us until the end of the subject.
Finally, math class is done. Our next subject has a nicer teacher. Well, all of the teachers here are nice, except that math teacher, Sir Kang. We started advanced to a new lesson for the next quarter, so we wouldn't have a problem with that. I only listened to the teacher's soft voice. But her voice is not good as Yuri!
Not until I felt a sudden dizziness on my head. I wanted to shrug that feeling off but I can't seem to do that. I stood up and approached the teacher.
"Ma'am, could I perhaps go to the clinic?" I asked her.
She weirdly looks at me and asked, "Why?"
"I'm feeling dizzy—" And suddenly, everything blacks out.
And the next thing I knew was I woke up from slumber. I felt like it was a deep one. I looked at my surroundings, I was in the clinic. I saw Yuri sitting on the chair. The worried look of her face is visible. It's like she wasn't patient for me to wake up.
I spoke, "Hey, Yuri."
"Are you okay?! Why did you pass out? Don't tell me you forgot to eat breakfast!" She worriedly yelled at me. Calm down, geez.
"I'm fine..." I scratched my nape.
"Fine?! So why the hell did you pass out!?" Alright, she's not calming down.
I thought for an excuse. Maybe something she can believe. "Ah, maybe because of stress...?"
"I usually get headaches in the afternoon, but I don't know why, I was dizzy when I passed out." I added.
She sighed, "You can always tell me anything if you're stress. I'm only one call away, right?"
I gulped. I didn't want to make her worried. Well it's maybe given that she will automatically be worried. She's my friend, that's why. A friend whom I wanted to be my partner for life. It's miserable, since I haven't let her know about my feelings. But since she reminded me that I can tell anything, maybe I'll confess now.
"Tell you anything, you say?" I asked her.
Yuri nodded and I went on to tell her, "I like you."
"You're worrying over that? I thought I gave you subtle hints." Yuri chuckled.
"I like you too, idiot."
