Y/N POV

Y/N stared at the above, her cold gaze fixated on the tapestry that was nailed to the ceiling. The back of her left hand was pressed against her forehead whilst her right held her phone by her side. As Y/N lay on her back, gazing at the ceiling, a sense of emptiness began to seep into her being. The weight of the world seemed to settle upon her, casting a shadow over their thoughts and emotions. It was as if the vast expanse above mirrored the void within, a reflection of the profound solitude she felt in that moment.

It had been 3 years. 3 years without the sound of Gojos laughter, 3 years without staring into his piercing blue eyes. Y/N's heart ached with a deep longing for Gojo. Every passing moment without him felt like an eternity, as she yearned for his comforting presence by her side. The emptiness in her soul grew more profound, as memories of their adventures and companionship flooded her mind. She couldn't help but reminisce about the joy he brought into her life, and the thought of being reunited with him filled her with hope and anticipation.

A sigh left her lips and she closed her eyes, listening to the music playing from her vinyl player, softly humming the lyrics. She felt peaceful, laying on her back, alone in her house, it was as if it was a safe space for her. Y/N took hold of one of the teddies that were sat on the back corner of her bed and she held it tight against her chest, she could feel her heartbeat against the teddy.

*DING*

Her phone alerted with a notification. Y/N lifted her hand to look at her phone and a pang could be felt from her heart and her brows furrowed, staring at the message from her childhood lover. It took many minutes of procrastinating whether or not she should message back, she didn't want to, but at the same time she wanted a sense of closure. The question came back. 'Why?' She pondered, why after all these years did he finally decide to message her? Maybe he was looking for a sense of closure? Thousands of thoughts filled her mind, unsure of what to do. Y/N let out a deep sigh, her breath escaping in a gentle exhale. It was a sigh filled with a mix of weariness, frustration, and perhaps a hint of resignation. As the sound escaped her lips, it carried with it a weight of emotions, a release of tension that had built up within. It was a small moment of catharsis, a fleeting expression of their inner thoughts and feelings.

'Hey,'

She wrote back, awaiting for his response. Her fingers tapped the back of the phone and she stared at their text feed, wondering whether or not it was the right idea to message him back. A few seconds passed before she got a reply,

'I'm sorry.'
