I had never been on a yacht before. My eyes couldn't help but wander. The amount of people here was overwhelming. I started to feel anxious, until I felt a hand on the small of my back. My head snapped behind me and my eyes locked with Korey's.

"Do you want a drink, beautiful?" He asked.

I smiled and nodded. He wrapped his hand around mine and led me through the crowd.

My feet stopped against my will when I saw a familiar head of curls. He had his arm draped around a girl's shoulders and was smiling down at her.

He hadn't smiled like that at me ever. His smile didn't seem deep. It was very surface level. Nonetheless, my heart sank.

Korey's eyes must've followed mine, because he pulled me closer to his side. "Don't worry about him, we're gonna have a great time, okay?" Korey's lips brushed the shell of my ear, sending a chill down my spine.

When I glanced back at Jeremiah, he was watching me. I quickly turned my stare back to Korey. Korey gave me one of his dimpled smiles and I moved my hands up his back and to his cheeks.

His eyes darkened, and he tucked a piece of hair behind my ears. His eyes flickered from my eyes to my lips. He raised an eyebrow, as if to ask permission. I nodded.

And suddenly, his lips were on mine. His lips were soft. His kiss was not, though. His hands immediately found my waist and he pulled me into him. His tongue swiped my bottom lip, but I didn't open my mouth. He groaned into my lips.

I pulled away, and when Korey turned to take us to get drinks, I stole another glance at Jeremiah. His gaze was hard on me. I shot him a wink and whirled back around to follow Korey.

I was tired of pining after Jeremiah. He didn't want me back. That was obvious. It was time to move on. It was time to give him a taste of his own medicine.

Korey and I reached a small kitchen inside the yacht. He grabbed two beers, he opened mine and handed it to me. We both took a sip before looking back to each other.

"You think that made him jealous?" Korey asked. His eyes locked on mine.

My heart sank to my stomach. I didn't want Korey thinking that's what that kiss was. Because it wasn't.

Right?

"Korey-" I tried to explain.

He held up his hand, "Look, I don't know what happened between you two. But, I've seen the way the two of you look at each other. He'd be an idiot to let you go. But, I can't help but admit, selfishly I hope that he does." Korey's smile is wide, not a lace of judgment in his voice.

I smile up at him. "I'm not worried about Jeremiah tonight. I just want to be with you." And I meant it. I wanted to focus on Korey.

His dimples appeared on his cheeks and he intertwined our fingers. "Let's dance, then." He said.

I was following Korey again, this time to the dance floor. He held our hands in the air and spun me around. My back was now to him, my ass against his groin.

I began to grind myself into him and his head fell back. His hands immediately fell to my waist. His hands guided my hips and I lay my head back on his shoulder. One of his hands came up and intertwined with my hair. He wrapped my hair around his hand and gently tugged it.

My head was now directly below his, and his lips met mine again.

I felt someone's hand on my arm. I opened my eyes and found blue ones glaring back at me.

"Scarlett, we need to talk." He said. He didn't glance at Korey once as he pulled me away.

"Jeremiah, let go of me!" I said, ripping my wrist away from his grip.
