~Raven POV
Coincidentally after this battle, Robin called a Training Session!
He didn't even try to hide it. Dang. That stings a bit.
He gave BeastBoy, Starfire, and Cyborg a set to do, as I floated over to him, fully aware of what he wanted.
"I assume you know what we need to work on?" He said, stern.
"Obviously." I retorted.
"Is everything going alright?" Robin asked, skeptical.
"Not Exactly.." I said, remembering yesterday.
~ Yesterday! Start of Flashback!~
I meditated in the woods, right next to the Tower, the incense of the candle being my sole focus.
How long had it been?
Like 3 hours and 54 minutes. I think.
I opened my eyes and noticed I was slightly thirsty.
With a thought I floated the teacup up.
*BOOM*
Or so I thought.
I noticed that a nearby tree had exploded into millions of little pieces.
Okay...? Let's try again.
I tried to float my teacup up, just for the contents of the cup to spill all over my leotard.
Why isn't my magic cooperating?!
*BOOOM*
My frustration caused another tree to explode..
~END OF FLASHBACK!~
"My magic hasn't been cooperating, and seems to react more to emotions." I told him the honest truth, not wanting him to have to pester me about it.
"Weird. I thought it would work better since we just defeated your father." Robin said.
"So did I." I said, completely honest.
"Well then. Do you want to begin working on your hand to hand?" He asked.
"I guess." I responded, not exactly excited to do so.
He grabbed a dummy and showed me a specific move and then wanted me to copy it, which I did.
We just kept repeating that until he actually wanted to see how I would apply it, by fighting me.
He took me completely off guard, which somehow resulted in the dummy exploded.
And for me to faceplant on the floor.
I quickly got up, my expression showing annoyance.
"That's weird, I thought you would sense me..?" Robin said, clearly confused.
I shrugged as he said that we would try again, but he would warn me this time.
He kept throwing unpredictable hits at me, and my brain kept getting flooded with false guesses of what he would do next. Which caused me to get a fist straight in the chest with my super predictable movement pattern.
"DAMMIT!" I shouted, hearing another thing shatter into pieces.
"RAVEN-" He started, before sighing.
"We can try again tomorrow."
------
I went to my room, and laid on my back on my bed.
Why wasnt my magic working properly, and why have I suddenly started to be awful at fighting?!
This can't be a coincidence.
Something is off.
