The Detective Story: The Trilogy?

Simple Beginning

I pulled in the driveway at 3am. I turned off the car and just sat there for a couple of minutes. I had been working for almost 24 hours on a kidnapping case. We were able to find her safe and sound. She was kidnapped by her brother Daniel to pay his gambling debt. I was so tired I didn't want to leave the car. But I somehow found the strength to get my things and get to the door.I was turning the handle when I heard my dog come up to the door barking. I opened the door then closed it behind me. Before I could of fully turned around my dog jumped up and started to lick my face. She was a full grown golden retriever. I had found her when we busted a dog fighting ring. I saw her face and I had fallen in love immediately. I had named her Maple because when I was bringing her home she had gotten into the groceries and spilt the bottle of maple surple in the back seat. I had put down my things on the kitchen counter and started to pet and play with the dog. I played for about 5 minutes before I started to here my stomach growl. I realized that I hadn't really eaten anything in since I had started the case. I had gone over to the fridge and pulled out some Chinese food that looked liked it was still good. I heated it up and took it into the living room were I had sat in my favorite comfy chair. I turned on the TV right when it was talking about the case I had been on. I had quickly turned it because I was done with work for that night. I had quickly switched it to some foreign movie who's name I couldn't pronounce. Mapel laid at my feet while I ate and watched the movie. About a hour and a half into the movie my eyes started to get heavy and the next thing I knew was it was 9:30 and my phone was ringing. I had answered it to hear Angela tell me that something was going down and she was about 5 minutes away from me. She had told me to get ready for her to pick me up and she hung up the phone. I had quickly wet down my hair and got my things ready when she pulled up. I had knew it was going to be one of those day.
