The S.S. Colossus pulls out of the port and hits the open seas. The sail is dropped, andthe banner displays a white dragon with a black pirate hat. Salange's signature. A signthe end is near for enemies.
"Fire cannons!" Salange hollers.Ordering the first attack on a passing pirate ship. In a matter of minutes the shipsurrenders to Salange.
"You are as mighty and decisive of a Captain as I have ever bear witness," Captain Skullyreveals.
Sipping off a big barrel of rum from the pillage of the pirate ship they overtook and sunk.
"Your words are of great motivation on our conquest. Much obliged, Captain Skully,"Salange responds.
"Aye Aye, Captain!" Skully embellishes.
Raising his drink and sipping. Ashton, Skully, Salange, and Murray lounge in the captains'quarters"Neptune has blessed us with fair weather and strong wind gusts. The men are well rested.Ready for all challenges we may face," Murray describes.
"Aye, Private Murray. You are of a sober mind even when drunk," Salange jokes.
The group laughs. Even Murray can't help from grinning while burying his face in morerum.
"I'm only joking. Thank you, Private Murray," Solange says.
"You're welcome, Captain."
"First Mate Ashton has unequivocal matters to discuss. Listen carefully while you stillhave consciousness," Salange orders.
She throws a banana at the chest of Captain Skully to stop his noisey snoring."What ... Oh, unequivocal matters. I hear you loud and clear Captain," Skully blurts out.
"In the morning. We will proceed to the far depths. There is one long sandbar that willnot allow us to turn right. We will be boxed in as we pull into the island area and beginour expedition," Ashton explains.
"Aye Aye," they acknowledge.
"Our mission is to recover the ancient book of souls. All other bounty is secondary to ourprimary directive for the kingdom," Ashton announces.
"Aye, we will find this old book and plenty of treasure beside it!" Skully proclaims.
"Why the long face, Private Murray?" Salange inquires.
"I see no issue in recovering the book but is it truly worth our livelihoods? Nobody hasever returned from the far depths beside Morrison," Murray pleads.
"That tells me you haven't had enough to drink, Private Murray," Skully rebuttles. He stands to crack open another barrel of rum.
"No! He has had plenty," Ashton warns."Gentleman, please, allow me if you will," Salange interjects.
"Only opportunity awaits usin the far depths. You ask, 'Is it worth our livelihoods?' I stand before you obliged toexpress, I have no life without recovering that book. I will recover the ancient book ofsouls."
"Aye Aye, Captain! My men and I are with you until Neptune puts out our lights for thefinal voyage," Skully embraces.
"I support you, Captain Salange. At the first sign of danger, we will be prepared," Murrayreiterates.
"We're all behind you, Captain," Ashton chimes in.
A torch in the night turns into rays of sunlight. The ruthless heat beats down on the crewas they close in on the far depths.
"No wonder nobody but Morrison made it back. He's colder than the Ice Queen ofScalvdaria," Skully jokes.
Captain Salange grins as Ashton rolls his eyes.
"Keep up the fine rowing men! The faster ye row the faster we be rich," Skully declares.
A gigantic implosion on the lower deck sends two rowers in on the front left overboard."Neptune, save us now!" Skully yells.
"Fire the cannons, men!" Salange orders.Cannons begin firing at the uber ugly monster. Ashton shoots a flare into the eye of thebeast. An eerie quiet overcomes the surrounding waters.
"She's given up for now, men. Return to your stations and row ahead," Captain Salangeorders.
"Ashton, and Captain Skully tend to the lower deck. Make sure any punctureholes are patched on the double."
"Aye Aye, Captain," they say in unison.
