We Have Forgotten

We the children, have forgotten
We have forgotten war, sacrifice, and God
We have forgotten what has built us to this point
In a hundred years we will forget more and more until their is nothing
Nothing to remember except our own self pity
We no longer learn of the troubles of the past
We no longer speak of the ones we have lost
People have lost their lives and we have forgotten
Forgotten what is important and replaced by what is not
We have forgotten the one that made us
And when we return to dust fire will rain
He wanted us to be free
But we only doomed ourselves
As the we have only forgotten and have doomed us all
Some still remember, ones like me
Who revel in the pain and chose to remember the forgotten
We remember God and the sacrifices for this nation
We remember what we should and nothing can change that
And we are the ones who suffer
As we are the ones who remember
Forgetting is what they do
And they believe we should follow
But alas we cannot as we are greater
