The next morning I woke up to nandini's alarm making me groan as I grab it turning it off. I keep telling her not to put alarms but this girl just never listens to such things. She likes to wake up early to make me breakfast but not today, she is sleeping in
I turn a little adjusting Nandini in my arms, I grabbed my phone to see it was 8, there were a couple emails so I answered those and then around 9ish I got up making sure Nandini doesn't wake up. She is usually up even if I move a little but i think it's cause of the meds she took last night
I showered getting ready for work but the only thing different today was I grabbed my own clothes and it was weird because I am so used to having Nandini choose my suits so it took longer for me to choose a suit even though it's not even that hard cause I used to do it before but hey I am used to wearing my wife's choice
I make my way downstairs to the kitchen, I know Nandini loves muffins so I made her some chocolate chip muffins with white chocolate in the middle. it was really easy because we had pre muffin mix in one of the cupboards. Putting the batch in the oven I walk up to our room to see my sweet little angel sleeping.
I pulled the curtails opening them causing her to groan a little shoving her face in a pillow, I chuckle sitting beside her. she opens her eyes to look at me giving me the cutest smile, she puts her face back in the pillow but immediately jumps up
"Woahh, slow down" I whisper grabbing her arm
"Oh my goddd what time is It? Shit am I late, you are dressed up, crap crap crap, I didn't even make breakfast" she rambled off trying to get off the bed
"Will you relax? Just breath" I mumble
"But you will be late" she says
"No, no I won't be because you will come with me to the office today, only if you want to" I tell her
"Wait I can come with?"
"Of course you can, you get bored in the house plus cabir won't be around for a bit because he is leaving on a trip with his friends so you little sweet thing are coming with me" she giggles kissing my cheek
"Of course, go get ready"
"Okay, I will be right there" she mumbles about to run
"Hey wait" she pouts a little
"Good morning beautiful" I whisper kissing her cheek
"Hehe good morning handsome" she whispers back kissing my cheek before she runs off to the bathroom
I made the bed and grabbed my stuff taking it downstairs, I made some eggs for myself and grabbed some cereal for nadnini because she has this chocolate flakes cereal, she will also have it without milk as a snack all the time.
"Should I make you eggs or did you want some woahh what's going on?" She asks stepping in
"Sit, I made eggs already" I tell her putting the bowl of cereal and milk in front of her
I placed my plate on the table as well, cleaning the kitchen
"Manik" she whiseprs
"Shhh eat up, then we will head out after we check your temperature"
"You didn't have to make anything, I could have. Im sorry that I slept too long" she whispers
"Shhh no, don't apologize, you make me food every single day and you do it with a smile so this is absolutely nothing. Now eat up baby"
She sniffles a little making me sigh
"darling there is no need to feel bad, we are equals so if I make it or if you make it, it's all the same"
"Thank you" she mumbles eating
"No problem" I whisper kissing her head
we both ate and then we grabbed a few of the muffins to go.
"Won't you be disturbed if I come along?" She asks for the 10th time
"No sweet girl, I won't be plus I only need to be there to supervise and sign things for the day"
"You sure?" She asks
"Yes im sure, hey Jen" I mumble seeing the receptionist as nandini and I walked in
"Hi manik, who's that?" She asks
"This is nandini, my wife and nadnini this is Jen, she has been working here for a while"
"5 years" she says
"Ohh that long, hi nice to meet you" Nandini mutters hugging jen
"You to girl, you are beautiful. Way too good for this kid" she says making me shake my head
"Okay thats enough" I mumble grabbing nandini's hand going up to my cabin
"This is pretty" nandini says as we enter my cabin
i hum grabbing the file I had left last night while Nandini walked around the cabin jsut trying to take eveyrhing in
"Mani this, when did you take this?' She asks coming out of the bedroom that's connected to my cabin
She had a photo frame in her hand, I knew it was a picture of her since thats the only one I had in the room
"I took it a while back when you were giggling around with cabir" I tell her
she hums going back to the room, she came back with a pout on her lips, im sure she didn't realize she was pouting.
"Come here baby" I whisper
She makes her way over playing with her fingers, I move slightly pulling on her arm causing her to fall in my arms
"You need to tell me if you are uncomfortable okay" I say adjusting her in my arms
"Im not" she says holding my coat messing with it
Her head laid on my shoulders, her legs over mine, she was basically laying in my arms over my lap.
"Okay so first things first, lets take your temp" I say grabbing a thermometer
"This is so unfair, you pulled me in your arms so I won't run away' she complains
"No it's because we need to talk"
"Abut what?' She ask
'Shhh" i place the thermometer under her tongue
She hums swaying her head a little until it beeps twice, I took it out and the temp was fine so no more medicine for her
"Normal" she says grinning
"Yes normal" I mumble
