Work from home
{Foolish One (Taylor's Version)}
Allies POV
Read. Read. Read. Leave another one of my texts on read. I'm under specific instruction from Christian to keep him out of trouble even while I'm home. It's hard to do that when he won't even talk to me. I'm glad he's going to work things out with Kelly though.
He deserves everything she gives him.
When I decide to finally get out of bed, Aspen isn't meowing at me to feed her, immediately striking fear into my body.

"Aspy baby, why aren't you hungry?" I ask her, rhetorically. When I got over to the food bowl I noticed that she's got like half a cup full left, I know for a fact that isn't from this morning.
Max fed my man-hating cat for me.
He isn't bad. He needs to be so it's easier to forget about his lips on mine.
I have a sharp pain in my stomach, I clench it and begin to fall a little bit. I get taken aback when my doorbell rings. I didn't invite anyone over I don't think? is it Max? Maybe that's why he wasn't answering my text.
I walk over slowly to my door and open it. I am very surprised to see Daniel there with a container of chicken noodle soup, my favorite, in his hand.
"Hello, Daniel." I smile at him.

"Hello love, I brought this for you. I've heard from Mick that chicken noodle soup is a Schumacher delight." He smiles back.

Ah. Mick. My should've been the world champion brother. Was a driver for HAAS in 2021 and 2022 but never showed any podiums or wins. 12 points in his 2 year career. Incredibly sad and a waste of talent. Could I really say anything when I didn't finish 5 laps though?

"Ah. the family is nothing new to you I see." I smile as I take the soup and put it on my table.

"I've raced head to head with your father, and brother before. I'm pretty much a Schumacher honorary by now." He laughs.

"God I hope not because that could make some of our interactions considered weird." I wink at him.

A red tint flushes his face, "you cheeky girl." he smirks.

"I'm not feeling very well Daniel I was hoping you could help me to my bed?" I ask him, as I begin to feel more and more light-headed. He sets the soup down in a hurry and picks me up.

"Anything for you your majesty." He says, then begins carrying me to my bedroom.

"If I wasn't brain-damaged right now I would be loving this," I tell him. He gives me a gentle smile, clearly not as interested in talking about it as I am.

"Allie you could've died today. I don't know why Max took you out on the track but I spite him for it. He can be stupid as shit most of the time." Daniel rubs my leg softly.

"Max didn't do anything wrong, I chose for myself to get in the car. do I regret it a little bit now absolutely. Never in any of my sorority days did I ever feel that kind of rush though." I smile looking down.

"I did find out you were in a sorority from your Instagram, is that how you met Max's assistant, Maddie?" Daniel questions me.

I can't help but laugh, I love that damn girl to pieces. "yes she was considered my sorority little. she worked here long before I did though but I'm sure you knew that." I play it off as if I don't know they dated. A touchy subject that she won't discuss with me. Based on their age gap I know it isn't good though.

"Ah yes, I knew Maddie before she started college, turned her into a different person." He tries to tell me, but I side-eye him so hard. That's my DAUGHTER he is talking shit on.

"I think our sorority was the best thing to happen to that girl. She was a young assistant in a big world that I just happened to be very rooted into." I clap back.
