I rubbed my eyes in hope that it was just a dream, just an illusion. But it wasn't, no matter what I tried to do to forget the image I had just witnessed, it wouldn't escape my mind.
I backed away, but it only resulted to me tripping over myself, and once again, finding myself on the ground.
Tears started to well up as I sat there on the cold, hard floor. I rubbed the wet drops away with my wrist and tried to stand. But my legs felt weak. Trying to stand was as if I was learning how to walk all over again.
Finally giving up, I dropped back to the ground where I was left alone, with only the school walls to comfort me.
I could feel the stinging in my throat rise up again as I tried my best to hold back the tears.
Why did I care so much? I had only met Len today but I felt as if I could give up the rest of my life to stay with him. These feelings were something I've never experienced before.
My head started to hurt at the thought. Was this supposed to be my fate?

Neru is one of those people that needs to have things her way. If you tried to interfere what she wanted most, you could say that you were a goner.
After we kissed, I was, surprised. Why did she kiss me?
But before I could say anything, Neru tugged me down the hallway. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Rin, looking awfully confused and somewhat sad.
It was silent for awhile, until I asked a question.
"Why did you kiss me?"
She looked at me and smiled. "Well, we're going out right?"
"We are?" I asked, "Since when?"
I've known Neru since I was in first grade, but I never thought of her greater than a friend. However, I could see Neru's smile disappear as she gave me a glare. We stopped walking and stayed in an awkward silence for a slight second, before she pushed me against a nearby locker.
"Yes Len,..." She paused while holding me firmly against the locker. "We are."
She faked another smile as she finally let me go. She shoved me to the ground and stomped down the hallway towards the cafeteria.
The first thing that came to my mind was Rin. It all has to be a big misunderstanding, right? I sped down the hallways, trying to reach the spot where it all happened.
As I neared the area, I could slowly picture Rin on the floor. Wait, the floor?
"Rin!" I yelled while waving my hand through the air.
She looked at me with an open mouth. Then she slowly stood up, seeming as if she had trouble.
"Rin!" I yelled again as I ran closer and closer to her.
She took a step towards me, then turned back around, and ran the other direction.
"Rin?" I said while slowing down to a stop. I could see her figure getting smaller by the minute. No, please don't leave.

The breeze flew through my hair as I ran down the hallway. My shoes clapped on the ground. Tears streamed down my face. I couldn't take this anymore, no more, please.
Seeing Len call my name out like that somehow made me nervous. My instincts told me to stay, and hug him like he wouldn't live another day. But my body told me to run. Was running really the right thing to do?
