Blade and Maddy were walking through the halls of East Highland (EHHS) holding hands when they came to a halt next to Kat's locker  ''Hey bitch.'' Maddy smiled at her friend as she closed her locker and looked down at the slightly shorter Latina, ''Hey, any news on Cassie?'' Kat asked Maddy ''No, I haven't talked to her, she still doesn't know I know she's sleeping with Nate.'' Maddy said with a roll of her eyes, Kat crossed her arms and leaned on her locker sideways. Maddy still couldn't believe that a person she considered a best friend would stab her in the back like that. At least she had Blade to help her through some of the mental breakdowns.

''I haven't either, hopefully she will at least have the morals to admit it sooner or later.'' Kat commented, ''Yeah...hopefully.'' Maddy mumbled. ''Hey, I'm gonna go for a smoke, wanna come with me?'' Blade asked, looking down at Maddy for a reply. ''Sure. I'll see you later Kat.'' Maddy smiled up at him then at her friend. The pair walked away towards the back of the school for privacy.

The duo walked hand in hand to the back of the school. Maddy responded with a kiss on his cheek and a smile on her lips as Blade opened the back door for her. With Maddy next to him, the tall teen leaned against the school wall, took out a cigarette from the small box he kept in his pocket, placed it on his lips, took out a lighter, and lit it up. He inhaled deeply from the lit stick, holding the smoke in his mouth for a few seconds before extinguishing it.

A ping came from his pocket; Blade raised an eyebrow and took out his phone; it was a text from a friend he had reached out to a few days before. 'I'll see you tonight, at 8 your house, bring your lady if you want,' read the text. ''What was it?'' Maddy asked, looking up at her boyfriend. ''It's a friend who will assist us with the Nate situation. He's going to meet me at my house at 8 p.m. 'Would you like to accompany me?' Blade explained and then asked her. Maddy considered it for a few seconds before shaking her head up and down.

''A word of caution, don't freak out if you see a bunch of men dressed in black around my house; it's just for security.'' Blade advised her, and Maddy nodded in understanding. The rest of the day they went to classes, ate with their friends in the cafeteria, and kept an eye out for Cassie and Nate, whom they encountered both. Cassie attempted to approach Maddy in the morning around 10 a.m., but Maddy was vague in her responses and left after 30 seconds. Nate showed up after lunch and attempted to fight Blade but failed miserably when Blade simply walked away with Maddy.

Now that the couple was packing to go home, they agreed to go to Maddy's for a while until 7:30 to go to Blade's for the meeting. ''You have everything, love?'' Blade inquired of Maddy as to who was ensuring she had everything in order, to which Maddy replied, "Yes." The pair clasped their hands together and exited the classroom. ''Would you like to get something to eat on the way to your house?'' ''Hmmm, sure, I don't think my parents are home anyway.'' the tall teen asked his shorter girlfriend, who replied with a shrug of her shoulders.

Blade and Maddy approached his car, and he opened the door for her before closing it and walking over to the driver's side, opening the door, getting in, and closing it again. Blade started the car with one hand on the steering wheel and the other on his girlfriend's thigh, with Maddy's hand on top of his. Blade caressed Maddy's thigh with the pads of his thumb as music played through the radio, feeling the quiet atmosphere. Maddy, who was looking out the window, smiled at the action.

The black-haired teen pulled over at McDonalds because it was the closest to Maddy's house. ''Welcome to McDonalds, what can I get for you?'' a masculine voice said through the speakers. ''What would you like, baby?'' Blade asked Maddy, who quickly looked over the menu. ''A McChicken, small fries, and a diet coke please.'' Maddy responded, and Blade returned to the speaker to order Maddy's food.
