Trollhunters: Rewind

Chapter 8

Attack on the Janus Order HQ and the girls get weapons:

Jim just fought and won against Bular and he was not tired. Now he had to go and destroy the Janus Order HQ which lies under the town of Arcadia. If memory serves him correctly the changeling HQ entrance is located in the office of an abandoned travel agency named Omni-Reach Travels. The next night he started his short journey towards the travel agency ,for he had to clean out a den of harmful pests. That same night,after the girls and Toby trained in the forge except Claire all the others became tired but Claire still acted as if she was very tired so that she didn't arose any suspicion. Vendel came and said," After observing how you three trained I have chosen the weapons that I think would suit you three the best. Firstly, Darcy you have a knack for trying to inflict damage while maintaining a safe distance and I believe the long bow will be a good choice for you and for close quarter combat  I will give you a short sword. Then it's time for Mary. While observing I noticed that you have the habit of rushing towards your opponent with extreme ferocity and it is ideal for you to wield the war hammer and finally I give you Claire the Pu Dao Halberd which is also known as a horse cutter. I believe this particular staff weapon will go well with your fighting style as if you have a innate talent for staff weapons. One more thing,all the weapons I have given you can change their shape so that they can be carried by you without suspicion. Now I will brief you four on your first mission and it is to bring the wielder of the Excalibur here on Heartstone Trollmarket so that I can determine his intentions." On the other hand, during this time Jim reached his intended destination and he told the password on the office phone which was," Where two faces meet." After the entrance opened, Jim entered the elevator and started him descent. In his heads up display it showed a large map and it showed 120 life signs and all were changelings. The Map also showed 20 exits but all of the base could be put on lockdown by destroying the main and auxiliary power generators and in order to achieve this Jim went full stealth as Merlin told him his imagination was the only limit. He followed the instructions of the amulet and reached the power generators. He used the crossbow version of Excalibur to destroy both the main and auxiliary power generators and so he began his hunt. One by one all the changelings were killed by him with his crossbow but when he closed in for the final kill he saw a goblin jump through a fetch and that goblin had Enrique. Jim kicked the wall in frustration but he calmed his mind and destroyed all evidence of his involvement and finally set the base on fire. But Jim didn't find Otto Scaarbach and he was glad because his time to die was yet to come. Jim cut through the door and started climbing towards the surface but suddenly his heads up display started blinking and he saw 4 life signs in the woods and they were surrounded by hundreds of smaller life signs and a different life sign. Jim started running towards the woods because he had a vague idea about what was happening.

Went looking for trouble and we found it:

After training that night,the girls and Toby were brainstorming along with Blinky and Aaarrrgghhhh on how to find the mysterious warrior. Then suddenly Claire came up with a idea and said," If that warrior was truly protecting Tobes then it would be very easy finding him and to do that we just need to get in trouble and what better place is there then the woods for getting in trouble." All the others agreed and they decided to go to the forest. After being defeated by Jim Bular returned to the museum unarmed Strickler was surprised and asked," How did Mr. Domzalski defeat you? He has barely trained for one night." Bular let out an angry growl and said," It wasn't the trollhunter. It was someone who was wielding that damned Excalibur and he fought with skills equivalent to Arthur himself." Strickler was confused and asked if he was certain. Bular let out and angry roar and told Strickler that he was certain. So, Strickler decided to send Nomura and some goblins to get the job done. As the group was walking through the jungle they were suddenly alerted by the crackling of dry leaves and suddenly they found themselves surrounded by goblins and a long slender figure appeared her eyes were glowing and she was pink coloured. She hissed and said," Give me the amulet trollhunter and I will let you live." Toby said," Never." So, a battle between Toby and Nomura began while the three girls fought off the goblins. A fierce battle began but however due to the difference in skills Nomura quickly overwhelmed Toby while the goblins overwhelmed the girls with sheer numbers. Darcy ran out of arrows and started fighting using her short sword and Marcy and Claire kept fighting but Claire couldn't use her shadow magic because the others were around she was hoping that Jim would come and just as Nomura was about to kill Toby suddenly she was knocked away she felt as if she was hit by a truck. She got up and saw Jim who was clad in green and black armour with a glowing Excalibur in his hand. The mysterious warrior shouted," Any business of the trollhunter is my business." Jim indicated Toby to go help the girls and he went to helped them within a few moments Jim overpowered Nomura and disarmed her but not wanting to hurt her Jim let her go and he turned his attention towards the group who were still surrounded by goblins. So, he transformed the Excalibur into a crossbow and started firing energy bolts towards the goblins and within a few seconds all the goblins were dead. The group took a sigh of relief but were rocked by the angry voice of the mysterious warrior who was saying," Are you guys insane? You  four do not have the necessary amount of training, skills or stamina to take on a goblin horde and a skilled changeling fighter." Toby was annoyed but he couldn't say anything because everything he said was true. Claire said," We  had to do these so that we could find you and we need you to come to Heartstone Trollmarket with us." Jim replied," I will go and meet Vendel but not today because it is very late and I have school tomorrow." Toby, Darcy and Mary were relieved to know that he was a high schooler just like them. Just when Jim was about to leave Claire asked," What should we call you?" Jim thought for a moment and replied, "Call me Atlas." Toby felt as if he knew that voice but couldn't quite identify it. Nomura was going back to the museum when she suddenly got a call from Strickler and he said," Come to the Janus Order HQ quickly and help me find out who killed our brethren and destroyed this base with minimal effort." Nomura took a moment to collect her thoughts and thought if it was the unknown Excalibur wielding warrior who destroyed the Janus Order HQ because he is probably the only one with the necessary skills to accomplish such a task.
