VICTORIA MORETTI

I woke up due to aggressively shaking. I groaned in annoyance, I slowly opened my eyes, being jump scared my Tom's face. I jolted up quickly from my position.

"What the fu-!" I shouted at him, but quickly got interrupted by Tom's hand slamming on too my mouth. The rest of my sentence was muffled. Tom put his pointer finger up to his lips to represent 'be quiet'.

While his hand was still on my lips, I started looking around. The sky was pitch black, it was windy, it was those types of wind where you could hear the wind swooshing around, moving the leaves and branches off of the ground. It was very strong. I was looking at the sky, well more or less the tips of the trees, they were moving side to side.

My hair was only going directly to my left side, since the wind was going from my right side to left.

All of a sudden I heard a voice. I quickly turned over to Tom, and motioned for him to let go of the hand on my lips. He let go, and leaned closer to him to whisper in his ear something. As I was getting close I could hear his breath hitch the slightest.

I fully reached his ear and I whispered "Did you hear that?" Feeling my hot breath reflecting off of his ear to my outer mouth area.

I leaned back to see his expression or even to see if he gave any expression.

His face looks pale. Like he saw a ghost or another being that's not supposed to be here.

"Tom?" I whispered worriedly. He said nothing. It was silence pure silence coming from him, I couldn't even hear his breathing, it's like he stopped living for a second.

I turned my head slowly to the direction he was looking, starting to feel aware of my surroundings.

The area Tom was looking at. There were lots of trees, an unusually amount of trees just in that location. There were bushes also and unusual amount, but one thing that stood out for one bush to another was a shiny object.

I rotated my head back to Tom. Who has the same pale white face, yet having a bit a life shown on his face.

"Tom." I whispered in his ear. No response. A second time. Nothing. A third? Nothing. Again.

I was seriously growing worriedly for Tom. Even though our relationship might not be the best, at least in my eyes it's not the best but it's slightly getting there, just very very slow. But still that shouldn't mean I shouldn't be worried about my partner. We are supposed to be duos. Not singles. I have the right to be worried, even if I don't wanna I'll still have that urge to know if he's okay or not.

I placed both of my hands on his shoulders shaking his aggressively just like he did so I could wake up. He rapidly turned his head to me and raised an eyebrow in question.
